Fratton Park - train
Anyone any experience of getting the train from Fratton Park back to central Pompey / harbour area after a match?
Easy / small queue? Or better to walk?
TIA

Thanks!

30 minute walk.
Re: Fratton Park - train
As stated not a long walk to city centre but two train stops after Fratton 1) Portsmouth & Southsea for city centre and 2) Portsmouth Harbour where there are some good pubs and restaurants

Getting out at Fratton...a Naval euphemism from back in the day!

Re: Fratton Park - train
After a match and assuming weather isn't awful I'd walk.
Trains don't move fast along that stretch of track so hardly worthwhile if you're able to walk. If you're feeling adventurous you can hire an ebike/ escooter...

A bit of useless information. Lol.
Fratton Park is located on Portsea Island, which is off the south coast of England and is the home of Portsmouth Football Club and is the only professional football ground in England that's not on the mainland of Great Britain.
