Re: 2024/25: Portsmouth v Burnley – Ticket Information
As per my post above on Friday. There were 3 blocks available to chose from given to me. I randomly chose "N" which then informed me it was a safe standing (and licenced) section. I accepted that and got a ticket. No idea about other sections but N appears to be standing.mybloodisclaret wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2025 8:30 amNone showing available online at the moment. Hoping they need to load more on as didn't get round to ordering our 5 last week when the point limit dropped so my lad would be eligible.
Does anyone know which blocks are safe standing and which is strictly seated?

Re: 2024/25: Portsmouth v Burnley – Ticket Information
Looks like the 3 blocks (L, M and N) shown initially on the seating plan (although a choice of seats was never given!) have sold out. That's probably the allocation advertised, 1408. Don't know if we'll be getting a further allocation??
Re: 2024/25: Portsmouth v Burnley – Ticket Information
Just had a look at the Portsmouth seating plan for the game and there are no seats showing for home fans in the next 2 blocks, P and Q. But don't know if that means those will now be made available to us or if they are already sold out to home fans???

Re: 2024/25: Portsmouth v Burnley – Ticket Information
Hoping we can get those extra two blocks. Still 3 weeks to go until the game and interest seems to have returned for away games.
A few different sites have said away allocation is over 2k at Pompey, it depends what BFC have taken I suppose. I am aware we have to pay for unsold seats.
Re: 2024/25: Portsmouth v Burnley – Ticket Information
Clubs don't pay for unsold seats in the Championship, just in the PL. And even then its only if a club doesn't sell at least 50% of the final seating block.mybloodisclaret wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2025 11:03 amHoping we can get those extra two blocks. Ah, I didn't realise, thanks Peter, will contact the club tomorrow and see if they are going to apply for more.
Re: 2024/25: Portsmouth v Burnley – Ticket Information
Poor do if we've chosen to take less tickets.

Re: 2024/25: Portsmouth v Burnley – Ticket Information
I'm in J Pete, so unless I'm with the Portsmouth fan's we've presumably got at least 5 blocks given we've got K as well. So maybe we have been allocated more
Re: 2024/25: Portsmouth v Burnley – Ticket Information
Their seating plan doesn't show a J or K block in the away section? Just L, M, N and possibly P and Q.

Rang this morning, all sold out. Looking for two, so if anyone decides they can’t go, I’d happily have them. Either two adults or an adult and a senior citizen.

We've taken a lower allocation than a number of clubs and sold out almost four weeks before the game yet we are not looking to take more?SherbornePhil wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2025 11:08 amI did ask, and they said they are not looking to order more.

Totally agree Tony and I would be grateful if others raised it with the club, if they feel they could. All sounds a bit odd.
Re: 2024/25: Portsmouth v Burnley – Ticket Information
I said at the time we could sell more for this one.

I am not one to knock the ticket office but what an absolute shambles this is!!
Clearly people want tickets, Leisure says it won't cost the club anything. There are some 600 tickets remaining available to BFC but they are refusing to take them? Must be a very good reason for it, I just can't imagine what it is unless we just can't be bothered asking for more.

Re: 2024/25: Portsmouth v Burnley – Ticket Information
Do clubs get any commission for selling away tickets? All I can think is the club can‘t be bothered asking as they won‘t see any money from it so why bother?
I do often get the feeling with the current ownership that if something isn‘t going to make them any money then they are reluctant to do it.
Suppose that is what business men do. They never seem to grasp that if you pee off the fans and they stop going on then aren‘t going to be able to replace them “customers” like you can in other industries. They don’t understand as well how much influence a full away end can have on the players. All they understand is spreadsheets and motivational powerpoints.

You get a small % from the tickets sold, so in answer to your question yes you do.
Did our previous owners ever take a smaller than wanted allocation ? Guess they just got lucky that the peed off fans kept going while we had "local owners" maybe we should get Royston Vasey scarfs in the club shop they could make some extra cash from them.

Bought mine on the 7th of January so yet again, for the third away game this season, I assume I will have to pray the club have something sorted at the Portsmouth end for me.

Re: 2024/25: Portsmouth v Burnley – Ticket Information
Its highly likely the other blocks have gone on sale to Pompey fans by now anyway.

Just called the ticket office and they confirmed that more tickets have been requested and they are waiting for Portsmouth to confirm. They hope to hear back within the next 2-3 days . Keep an eye open!
Re: 2024/25: Portsmouth v Burnley – Ticket Information
The club continue to misread this fanbase. We haven't played Portsmouth for a long time, do they not anticipate the following to better in this instance.
Last season we played Spurs in the cup & Fulham, and the club accepted full allocations for both.
We then played Liverpool & City a few weeks after, and we didn't accept the full allocation.

I already have tickets, bought first thing when they went on sale but have managed to get them in the seated area as there wasn't anything stated about safe standing. I'll be popping down to the TO in the morning when they'll hopefully swap my tickets.

Did we get the requested extra allocation?
I'm looking to buy 2 adult tickets, but I can't find the Portsmouth game anywhere on the Ticket website.
