Theyve made some good signings in recent years, lots of not so good before then, but they'll need a big player sale every year to help balance the books, as the sale to Spurs of Solanke did last summer

Their fans will enjoy the ride as it is now though but it will need huge investment, Inc a new stadium of a decent size, for it to last long term

Brighton have proven it isn't easy by the fact they still rely heavily on Blooms money

Those figures further demonstrate what an excellent season they are having, or at least don't dilute their achievements

You make a good point but the manager has them playing good football and they've recruited well, so credit to them for that.

Obviously it helps, but it's not always as easy as saying here is X amount of money. Now make us into a good team.

The financials you have posted seem to show the opposite of what you are suggesting. Hardly any losses over the 2 year period.

Their wage bill will be down there with the lowest in the league if you exclude the 3 promoted teams. It’s actually not that much higher than where our wage bill stood at the end of the Dyche tenure.

Their revenues will again be one of their lowest and again not too different to Burnleys in the premier league looking at the level of all their sponsorship, advertising etc

Their debt levels not too different to our current debt I’m guessing.

I know they have a billionaire owner but I haven’t looked into how much he subsidises the club or the terms of the debt they have (eg is it from the owner or is it more like our loans ?).

I think based on those accounts (devil may be in the detail etc) the club are doing pretty incredibly.

Take away all the financial stuff and you have to say that the way they are playing this season is fantastic. If you look at the side they put on the pitch yesterday and what they paid for the players I am not sure it cost any more than the team we put out last season….yet they spanking sides like Newcastle, Forest and have beaten City, Spurs, Arsenal etc

Everton and United have wasted a lot too.

Kerkez, Huijsen, Kluivert and Semenyo have been good signings for Bournemouth and each cost relatively little by Premier League standards. You don't always need to spend a fortune.

Look at us under Dyche, didn't spend a great deal compared to competitors but recruited well to fit his style of play.
