I remember people saying that the money Peterborough was asking for Toney wasn’t worth it.
Isn't that example the same as Viktor Gyökeres who keeps getting used as a player we missed out on?
The fact that few clubs were showing interest at the time for those footballers suggests they were not seen as being good enough.
If far bigger teams than us were not interested then we can hardly be blamed.

Surprised we aren’t interested in Kone at Wycombe. Thought he might be the type of player we would be interested in.
Same here.. looks a very good talent.
but I guess the step up to the championship and maybe the prem would be too much being untested in the club's eyes.

I thought he'd signed for Everton tbf. Fair play if not. Looks a decent prospect

Crystal Palace and Everton looking at him too
In fairness I think that is old news and was in response to a very rich vein of form he had in Europe a season or two ago, and he's reverted to the median since.

Didn't realise transfer deadline day was Monday 3rd. (at least according to a sky sports article). Thought today would have been the deadline.

Me too. Weird one, with today being the last day of the month and the week.

Leeds in for a loan deal for Southampton forward Cameron Archer apparently, first offer rejected!
Interesting

We’re Brentford really any bigger than us at the time? I must admit I didn’t see the fuss with Gyokeres when I saw him play against us twice and 20m (was that their asking price?) was perhaps too big of a gamble, but in hindsight you can’t argue with his stats since leaving Coventry and the fact we spent the money on Tresor makes it look a case of what could have been.

Would be very surprised if we were in for Edwards.
A bit of a clone of Tella, reaching his peak without playing too much, and very unusual having an Englishman with no real experience of English football.
I expect this is either an agent, us attempting to force another club’s hand, or us attempting to stop a rival signing a player by upping the price.

Edwards I'd be happy with, good quality and the type of player we could do with.
Can't understand those Lankshear links at all, barely played a game and never scored a senior goal has he? Hard to imagine he's what we need.

Right wing.
Another ex Tottenham lad. Maybe a Parker link there?

We've had game on at least 2 occasions on deadline day, so it's not that reason, it's to fit in with the rest of Europe.

I think it's becoming more and more obvious that quality players don't necessarily see promotion contenders from the championship as that much of an appealing proposition knowing full well the gap to the premiership is so vast that they will be instantly fighting a relegation fight from day one of the forthcoming season.

It wasn't a problem 2 years ago. I'd be more inclined to think the opposite. It'd be a huge attraction coming to a top Champ club knowing that there's at least a 50/50 chance of ending up in the strongest league in the world in 6 months time.
It doesn't matter if you're in a relegation battle, you still get the opportunity to perform at the top level. If you do well you'll get an even bigger move off the back of it regardless of whether you've been relegated. For example Cornet, Odobert, Berge, Pope, Mcneil etc

Sambo almost certain to go out and Tresor calling in sick again and not training so it’s clear he wants to leave so we are at a stage now where we just need to get him out on loan

Fella I know takes his lad to training for the kids teams in the evening and said he heard couple of the coaches say Tresor had said he was unwell again and wasn’t training, similar to what Parker said in a presser a few weeks ago

I’m pretty sure he’s scored in the Europa League once. I saw him play away at Ferencvaros, he missed some good chances. He looked a tall lad, mobile, got into some nice positions in the box.

Confirmation? Confirmation! Why on earth would you need confirmation, when you have the word of Easyas123 to rely upon; you'll be questioning the Bible, Koran and Talmud next.

Tresor is nowhere to be seen.
Who is the lad with the orange dreads, walking out with Anthony and Hannibal? Features quite heavily in training too?
Benson, Redmond and Agyei all doing competitive work. Ramsey present, but not.

I don't think that's true. Assignon started the next game (Forest, final game of the season) and Fofana was on the bench.
