Can't blame Parker for missing golden chances.
Don't worry, some will try.

Bottom line is we have one player that has scored north of 10 goals in a single season in the past 5 years, and that is Zian Flemming. It's been the same issue all season, this team doesn't have goal scorers.

We can all discuss about tactics, subs, Parker's decisions, etc. but we've had enough gilt-edged chances there and a penalty not given. Goals win games! That is on the players!!

We have an incredible bench yet delayed Edward’s coming on and when he did we did not fully use him
How did Fleming and Laurent not get taken off both for me 5 out of 10 today
Only have ourselves to blame today both on and off the pitch

why wasn't Barnes given at least 15 minutes to go up top and Fleming behind another 2 points dropped when we should be going for it . said before window shut not getting a striker could cost us ...

Because he's not good enough? Signed as some kind of publicity stunt, IMO. (and I actually like him)

We should have won, but we need to offer a lot more than that to earn promotion.
Feels like 3 steps forward 1 step back.
SP probably feels unlucky, but he didn't do enough to change the game imo, all that depth on the bench.
Fortune favours the brave, we need a lot more courage in the final third, and in the substitutions.
Thoughts and prayers for the travelling fans who sat through that.

Decent performance as a team. If you don't take your chances you don't win your games. We had enough chances.

The non penalty

Edward’s win ball
Defender brings him down
Ball then touches defenders foot

Please can one of our experts out there explain why it’s not a pen ?

Nothing on Parker there. We had enough chances, should have had a penalty. They are hard to beat there on that shite pitch. Leeds nearly lost there. Sunderland failed to win there and Boro got beat. So we will take the point and move on

No point having a fantastic bench if you're not willing to use it , so frustrating to watch another game there for the taking and again we now rue missed chances by foster, real shame

Ref didn't miss easy chances or make poor decisions. You can't rely on them. In short we need to be the biggest decider and we weren't today.

I judge strikers (and always have) not on the goals they score but those they missed. Sadly Foster may have good qualities but he's too erratic when it comes to finishing. He may have played himself out of the team there.

We need to hear more from Hannibal - but, Osmajic, one would presume on the basis of what we saw, could be a racist, as well as a biter. Needs removing from English football.
If he’s said something racist, why is he still on the pitch?

There is very little fault to lay at Parkers door today.

Final 3rd was abysmal with AMPLE opportunities. We just didn't take them.

Should have been 3 or 4 goals to the good easily
I just don’t agree.

We should have scored in the first half but we didn’t. Then after that the chances were fleeting moments. Our style of play didn’t change from the first minute to the last minute.

Where was throwing everyone forward in the last ten to try and get a winner.

93rd minute Esteve and Egan Riley were still ******* about with it at the back.

At some point we have to start questioning his tactics. That was there for the taking and that’s the difference between Leeds, Sheffield and us.

They would have gone on to win that.

2 points dropped, a bad result. Fear these draws will cost us but we're still right in the mix.
I watched Leeds rag an injury time draw away against Preston so while we should have won today as the dominant team it's still a good point at the end of the day.
We do not have any good finishers and that has been obvious all season. Will it make the difference? Still too early to call.
Just left with a big feeling of frustration

A dreadful game on the whole. We've had a lot of stick from opposing fans for our play this season, but PNE take the biscuit. They huffed and puffed, but were generally a typical, horrible Heckingbottom team. They wanted the ball out of play as much as possible and the referee just didn't get a grip on them. Add to that the appalling pitch and it ruined the spectacle.

We should have won. You can't miss chances like those two Lyle fluffed. You just can't.

Wasteful in front of goal. Awful pitch but that ref was abysmal. Allowed the pulls and niggles. Stopped any fluency. Played into their game. Parker needs to come out and hammer the refs. We've been treated poorly this season. Guarantee that Sunderland or Leeds get that pen.

Sadly, one person's word against another. I guess if one of the officials had heard it then there'd be a case.

Clearly the better side on the worst Championship football pitch I’ve seen in years. Proper can’t be assed with the Cup game now.

In fairness to the ref (who was absolutely shocking!) if he hasn’t heard it there’s nowt he can do other than put it in his report.
Hopefully there’s footage and he’ll get a lengthy ban.

1000 minutes!!!!!!! :!: :!: 11 games and 10 mins without conceding now, JJ Watt must be getting worried now

From the Sky replay it wasn't a penalty.

Still had enough clear chances to win the game, Foster should have buried those two efforts and Flemming should have done better a few times, especially with the cross that hit his back when he was clear in front of goal!

That was not us playing for a draw, unlike many of the previous 0-0s.

Indeed.

Benson has more "end product" in his big toe than our front four combined...but he's simply being ignored. Maybe someone can send Parker the video highlights of our 22/3 season.

I honestly believe Parker knows exactly who and when his subs will be when he hands in the team sheet.

I said it when we got Edwards (he is borderline world class when fit and on his game) in no world should Foster be selected over him. Obviously Edwards hasn't played much for two months , but as soon as he can do 90mins he has to. Not on Parker for me this one. Any half decent championship striker buries those chances of Fosters.

A very very frustrating day. We can blame an appalling officiating display yet again ( by the same cretin who was exactly the same at Ewood), but equally can we put the notion to bed of Foster being a goal scorer, he isn't and never will be and Flemming being a striker he isn't and that's why he continues to miss sitters and doesn't anticipate scoring opportunities

Lets concede a goal and maybe we can concentrate on scoring more consistently- I'm sick of all these Nil Nil results and best defence BS- The use of the subs today to say what he had at his disposal was Criminal.

How many times have we seen challenges in the middle of the park get punished even when the ball was won? Because he takes the man first! He takes him down and then touches the ball. It's a pen in today's rules. It doesn't matter if he touched the ball.

Your remember it was Foster not Parker missing those chances?

Parker isn't like Fergie or Cloughy, he's not gonna hook a player after 20 mins for one bad miss.

His pragmatism will always be that 1 point is better than 0.

There were multiple runs into the box last 10 mins, Anthony "pen-not-pen" a good example. I think they players were wrecked but I didn't see anything which was him telling playing to relax compared to the Leeds game which felt like it was decided before the game to take a draw. Ref absolutely didn't help, Preston should have had multiple cards Inc reds.

It was the same starting team that were unreal on Wed, probably on it best performance of the season. But just didn't turn up today. The final third was awful in general and more frustrated at them than Parker
