Taking what he said about starting lower down and wanting a challenge They literally have no self-awareness. Each one of them fed into the others delusions until it became "why aren't the Venkys ringing him up?" Was a bizarre but hilarious read.

As mentioned on here many times especially by those of us that know some of them: they are without doubt amongst the most utterly deluded, entitled fanbases who do not appear to have an once of self awareness of the importance they put on themselves.

It is both bewildering and hilarious at the same time. Every time you think they'll learn their lesson and keep quiet, they're at it again, spouting off about this and that only to make themselves look like buffoons again.

Eighties or not...clubs such as Swindon Town in the fourth tier were getting far higher gates. We weren't exactly distinguishing ourselves either, but we're not claiming to be some kind of giant club.

Don’t worry. I get perfectly well what you’re trying to say, it’s not exactly sophisticated. I just felt pulling a random season out of your ass from 40 years ago and pointing at the average attendance was a bit, basic. There’s plenty to laugh at them for. As Bosscat points out their crowing about FAcup wins when most were won pre moving pictures is hilarious.

So Rovers’ fortunes were boosted by a wealthy benefactor bankrolling them is hardly breaking news. They weren’t a big deal, then for a brief spell they were a big(ish) deal (a period I had the misfortune of being at school in Blackburn for), and now they’re not a big deal again. Happy days.

5,000 is a ninth of the 45,000 United were getting..! That would mean to be similar United would have to get gates of 150,000. Even a gate of 25,000 is 5 times bigger, which would mean the average PL team would be getting 80,000.

Forest would have to be getting 50,000 gates.

You can argue that Jack Walker was a bad owner given that he ran the club beyond its means for so long with no plan for what might happen when the money ran out after he had gone.

I also am of the opinion that the Venks are winding the operation down. It certainly seems that way to me. The lack of renewal talks for those OOC at the end of the season must be a huge worry to them. I would imagine the players will already be tasking their agents to get them out of there......

I was making the point that after his discussion in obtaining the job it seemed that top 6 wasn’t in their plans
