The 6 second rule isn't subjective. How can it be?
The six second rule applies only to the keeper holding the ball, I was talking about restarts. There isn’t a single rule about how long restarts should take only that you can be booked for taking an excessive amount of time without defining what that means.

Some referees are counting "One Mississippi two Mississippi"

Others are counting "One elephant two elephant"

There's a difference of one syllable between the two.

And everybody else isn't counting at all.

i
I’ve posted above, unless he gets sent off in a game he cannot pick up a ban this season.
Thanks Tony, I'm amazed that he only has 7 yellows. He seems to have picked them up regularly, but I can't argue with the stats.
The problem I have with Trafford is that his time wasting isn't in the slightest subtle. It annoys me, and I'm a Trafford fan with Claret tinted spectacles!

There is nothing new in all of this and it will continue. James had two goalkicks within the added time and took a minute for each. Game management or cheating. Foster went through and give them the ball back. Shoot hard or high and wide (or score) for me more seconds gone. The powers that be will never go down the Rugby style "time off" route so we have to accept the situation. Teams have done it to us especially in the League above. In the Orient game Leighton James took nearly three minutes to take a throw no complaints from me, commentator famously said "Leighton James moving at the speed of a glacier to collect the ball" No yellow card from the Ref Mr George Courtney

And them some count

One, two, three, four, five
Everybody in the car, so come on, let's ride
To the liquor store around the corner
The boys say they want some gin and juice
But I really don't wanna
Beer-bust like I had last week
I must stay deep because talk is cheap

Tom Heaton used to be very good at it.

It’s not subtle but neither was it with Pope who would just go down every time he caught a ball. I also remember Heaton going down with cramp at Stoke when we’re hanging on to a 2-1 lead.

The good thing for goalkeepers and time wasting with an injury is that they don’t have to be waved back on by the ref. As a physio/bag man in the NW counties league it used to blow my mind. Was waiting to get a player back on the field and Squires Gate got a throw in the same area of the pitch, he still wouldn’t let our player back on, had a word going off at HT and let the ref know that he would have allowed a sub on in the same situation. Another time at Skem after treating our GK I asked the ref where he wanted our GK to go off, he said you know he doesn’t have to, he totally fell for it. I guess at every level refs are hard work.
