Had a little bit of a struggle on Tuesday night with the rest of the team but the energy he brings to the side along with Hannibal is crucial when we’re a bit below par.Great news.

Re: Connor Roberts
He’s a very good all round right back: good defensively and good going forward. He gives his all too. Excellent news
Re: Connor Roberts
He isn't.
Re: Connor Roberts
Very happy with this. Had the pleasure of meeting him at the Barrow services a couple of years ago and he came across as a very decent guy. Dodgy tash but we can forgive him that and has generally played superbly this season.

Wasn’t expecting this at all.

Re: Connor Roberts
Absolutely didn't expect this. I thought the rumours of him returning to Swansea might be solid and were he to leave I would have preferred that.
He's had a very good season and it's well deserved.

Re: Connor Roberts
Just to add a bit of balance here:
He has got to be the worst defender of aerial duels I think I've ever seen, just watch how he purposely mis judges the flight of the ball to avoid any sort of contact, Ashley Barnes does it, they will try to win fouls rather than legitimately win the ball.
Absolutely infuriating.

Re: Connor Roberts
Welsh commentators on the Cardiff game said how he has seen him struggle with high balls in over him for Wales. That's what Cardiff were pumping at him a lot this week. Need to watch that.equinox wrote: ↑Thu Mar 06, 2025 7:40 pmJust to add a bit of balance here:

Re: Connor Roberts
I think there's a lot of pro footballers who get away with this. As someone who hates heading it, it's very easy to do subtly to ensure you're not quite in the line of the ball so you don't have to keep heading it. It's also quite easy to spot if you look out for it.equinox wrote: ↑Thu Mar 06, 2025 7:40 pmJust to add a bit of balance here:

Re: Connor Roberts
Which right back at the club is better defensively than Roberts?
Even if he is back up in the future he isn‘t a bad player to have in the squad. We aren‘t city, we can‘t buy 2 world class players for every position. We need players like Roberts. Good news.

Re: Connor Roberts
Roberts is a classic True Claret.
He gives 100% every game and he really does get "Burnley" .
He could have gone last year after relegation along with Brownhill... but both stayed.

Re: Connor Roberts
A good point made on The Bee Hole End Pod: it would cost a hell of a lot to replace him.
