Re: So quiet tonight
Interesting that so many were missing from the Match Thread, obviously all disappeared with us getting an early goal, must have been a frustrating day for them.

Re: So quiet tonight
Wonder if some still think Parker got the team selection for the FA cup wrong. 14 days later and 10 out of 12 points gained and the gap closed on the leaders?

Re: So quiet tonight
What’s point of this thread? Just a celebrate a win and stop calling people out for expressing an opinion on a public forum. Makes you as bad as them IMO.

Re: So quiet tonight
Crowing when we win is only the same as moaning when we lose ,give it a rest because one day the moaners will get their day ,but hopefully not as often as the Crowers.

Re: So quiet tonight
I love us winning but with a comment like that I’d imagine you’ll be the first to moan when we do eventually lose and someone posts “Where are all the Happy Clappers tonight “ enjoy the winning streak instead of trying to goad other fans who have a moan when we lose.

Re: So quiet tonight
What a pathetic thread.
Just enjoy the win….like I’m sure most others are doing.

Or, those that give it out constantly never, EVER, admit they were wrong.colne-claret wrote: ↑Sat Mar 15, 2025 9:09 pmWhat’s point of this thread? Just a celebrate a win and stop calling people out for expressing an opinion on a public forum. Makes you as bad as them IMO.
This would be a much better board if people learnt and exercised a little humility and humour.

These threads always amuse me and just smack of ‘I am holier than thou’!
Personally, I am delighted we won the game and we never looked in any trouble at all today which was great!
However, I can’t say that I enjoyed watching the game overall, except for the first 25-30 mins, especially in the second half when literally nothing happened! Even my daughter asked me, ‘why are we so boring to watch’?

Re: So quiet tonight
It's not crowing, or pointless, but pathetic in the true sense of the word. It's a fact. Compare the number of posts when we win to when we draw. It's very easy to be critical, but after last season's struggle, where we are now is remarkable. Some posters on here seem to enjoy sticking the boot in, but are very quiet when it goes well.

Wrong about what? We’ve beat Swansea 2-0 away and are in a good position to go up. Before you start pleading for people to own up their mistakes let’s just get the season finished and see how we end up. Anything but promotion will be a failure this season. Let’s judge it come the end of the season.

Just say 25 undefeated to her and hopefully she will understand we can’t be perfect.Ampth7 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 15, 2025 9:58 pmThese threads always amuse me and just smack of ‘I am holier than thou’!

Re: So quiet tonight
People love a moan
Activity on here after wins/draws/losses proves it
And I don’t agree at all thats posters who point it out when we win that all the negative posters disappear are just as bad
It’s a bit of light relief not have to read it between it all

Re: So quiet tonight
Fair Play to Parker - he changed the team - in the first half we seem to have more bodies in goal scoring positions.
Re: So quiet tonight
Why would anyone be moaning after we’ve won?

Re: So quiet tonight
The toxic positivity bods are just as tedious as the doom n gloom merchants.
A brief glance tonight I've read that Trafford is the best GK we've ever had, that Anthony is ready made to mix it in the PL with 10 G/A to his name all season and that we're going to stroll to the title now.
Sometimes we're shite, sometimes we're good. It's ok to say we've not done well. it's ok to say we have. If it bothers you so much then make your own forum where you ban people that have a different opinion to you.

Re: So quiet tonight
Well. If its not the angry Elves, It’s those wanting to poke the angry elves.
Those wishing to provoke and post general smugness are worse than people who want to complain about the style of the football.
Yes. Some want to bash parker. Some want to bash the players.
But some just want a style of play that gets them off their seat.
But they aren’t provoking anyone. Are they?
Give it a rest.

Yep, that’s a fair comment.northeastclaret wrote: ↑Sat Mar 15, 2025 10:15 pmJust say 25 undefeated to her and hopefully she will understand we can’t be perfect.
However, I still don’t buy into the idea of there supposedly being a camp of uber positive and equally negative supporters! There can be a middle ground after all whereby fans can criticise poor performances and question the way we sometimes play.
On that basis, I repeat my thoughts regarding yesterday by saying, a good 3 points, scored two good goals, never looked like conceding, boring to watch for most of it.

Re: So quiet tonight
I know what you mean , but I suppose it’s game management, Parker has system which makes us hard to beat and see out a game when we are winning. That I assumes is at the expense of more open flowing football. I wasn’t a fan of Parker ball earlier in the season but very happy to accept it now as we build up momentum.Ampth7 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 16, 2025 1:32 pmYep, that’s a fair comment.

Re: So quiet tonight
I wouldn't say that's strictly fair. With the turnover of squad, if he gets low to mid 90s points wise, I'd say that's a touch of bad luck not to go up automatically. There's obviously the playoffs but hopefully we won't need those!colne-claret wrote: ↑Sat Mar 15, 2025 10:10 pmWrong about what? We’ve beat Swansea 2-0 away and are in a good position to go up.
