strange game, we've done ok in patches but for large parts it's been testimonial tempo and Tuchel could have called up Gerrard and Scholes !

This qualifying campaign really is a joke with the opposition we are facing. There's not one benefit of going through this and we'll learn nothing at all about this squad before the WC. If we don't win 8 out of 8 then he should be sacked.

All the passion and adventure of a standard Southgate performance.

Good interview from Tuchel, he seemed pretty underwhelmed by that and that's a good thing.

You can change manager... but the players are in the same mindset whoever he picks.

In the end, it's a patience game in these types of games where they just stick 11 men behind the ball for 75% of the game.
Don't know why we expect more when it's obvious the players don't wanna get injured either, so once in the lead it's about controlling and seeing the game out with the least amount of energy wasted as possible. Can't complain about tonight really: easy, solid win and 2 goals. Qualifying is usually dull and this is gonna be even more dull with the quality of the opposition ahead.

Sort of kept up with it but apathy in the Pub towards it ... Our quiz took presidence ... most in there are Burnley, Leeds, Rovers, PNE and a lone WBA fan ... All of us can't be arsed with England untill it matters tbf 🤣

This style of football is not for me,I had trouble staying awake during the game.England did what they had to do against a poor and very negative opposition.Ots the type of football being served up these days and I can't watch it.I am not alone thinking this and I think it will soon be reflected in attendances and TV viewing figures.

Foden again put on a cba performance thinking he's entitled to a cap regardless of his actual contribution. I was amazed England's brave new world involved Henderson and Walker definitely time to move on.

Usual case of all our attacking players wanting to play in the same areas. If Saka is fit i don't think therea place for Foden on current form.

It would be more challenging if we had a time machine and returned to a Europe with 30 countries and barely seeded groups (1974 WC England, Poland and Wales), 1978 (England, Italy, Finland, Luxembourg).
