What specific rule did he break?
The game was over. He wasn't abusive. He didn't chase after the ref as far as I can tell. I'm a bit baffled

From what Sky said, you're (as a manager) not allowed to approach the match official on the field of play.

That only applies during the game doesn't it? The final whistle had gone

Mr Parkercentered the field of play ( after whistle had blown, ad they all do) and instead of shaking the tossers hand, he asked a civil and needed question.

Such was the inadequacy of tosser ref, that he chose to fall back on a rule which says you can't enter the field of play and approach the referee!

Never shake the hand of a ref again! All the times sloppy and co harsng them at the end of a match and our gentleman gets the worst ref in the world. FA back hom as it is a rule! No practical solution.

Pure rubbish. Ref should get life ban for entering the field of play!

I suppose they had to give the ref some face saver after his appalling performance and diabolical decision to send off Egan-Riley.

It could have been a lot worse if the ref had his way.

Keeping Egan Riley on the pitch is the best case scenario.

Be quite difficult to shake their hand without approaching them

Does it really matter? Won't make any difference to the way we play whatsoever..He will communicate from the stands. Might even attack more :D

Does it matter? We will see. But we are getting all the headwinds now, most by the choice of others. CJ’s sending off, several obvious penalties not given, clown refs appointed regularly (another on Saturday).

Others get headwinds too. Leeds get loads of lunchtime KOs and I think they are about 3 wins in their last 13 lunchtimes. Another in 10 days.

Whoever goes up will have been the best at navigating those headwinds.
