IMHO nowhere near a playoff side. We should have won that by a very clear margin. 4-0 would not have flattered us at all.

Actually as I type it that may be a bit harsh on us. It was probably more a reflection of how good we were (minus the finishing) rather than them being poor.

Knocked it about tidily but, as with most teams, created next to nothing against the Claret wall. Until the final shot of the match when they could/should have scored.

I thought they were a tidy side and kept going, even when we dominated and created plenty of chances. They blocked shots like their lives depended on it, got back in shape very quickly.

Apart from finishing, we probably put our best performance on of the season.

Watched bits of their game at Sheff Utd the other week and they were far more impressive. They dominated for large parts in that game and were unlucky not to win. Does that say more about us being good or they just had an off day?

Bit of both, we were excellent yesterday. That said, they didn’t look up for it at all. The way they allowed us to nick the ball back cheaply time and time again was poor. Cullen must have pinched it from them when he had no right to five or six times.

They are certainly not an Albion or Sunderland equivalent. They may well fade in the run in

I thought they were only as good as we allowed them to be. We played some excellent football yesterday and totally dominated the game. Some of their defending and blocking was excellent hence the 1-0 scoreline. They just didn't get the chance to show what they are capable of.

After 39 games there is 8 points separating 5th to 13th. Says to me that they are all much of a muchness.

I agree entirely that those four have been the best, so far.
Bristol City were in the next group, tidy at times but not really threatening.
Then you’ve got the poor teams like Cardiff and Luton.

They’re a decent side but have nothing up top. Can see why they’re around the play off picture as the hold their shape and knock the ball about well enough. They’re miles of our standard though. Twine starting for them tells a story; he doesn’t impose himself on games at all, tidy footballer but unless you get a free kick in the fight spot, he doesn’t offer anywhere near enough.

We were exceptionally good yesterday at everything except finishing. They have been on a great run during which they have played on the front foot as they did at Sheff Utd. They could not do that against us because we were stronger and technically better in every department as well as superbly organised. Hirakawa caused us problems at Ashton Gate not sure why he came on so late

They were quite possibly the poorest side I've seen all season. Could have been an off day for them and tbf we were absolutely excellent apart from the finishing. Their last ditch defending was their one bright spot, but overall City were woeful.

Luton was the poorest side to visit the Turf, but Br CIty were poor it as to said after yesterday day our goal difference to DL should have been very closei also thought Coventry City were poor v Shef Utd where was their defence for goals 2&3 once Utd got behind them they were slow to get back hope they play like that next Saturday

Yesterday was all about us. Play like that and we make any side in the Championship look poor. We cruised to a win at Swansea against a team which gave Leeds a really tough game. Bristol City could easily have got three points at Sheffield Utd and have been very good on the road recently. They weren’t poor we were just on another level.

This is the problem with assessments of teams on here, it doesn't allow for variance in performance. Coventry after Friday, are apparently an awful team. We may well face a much better one next week.

Another major factor a lot of people ignore or don't think about is the difference between a team's home form and away form. Portsmouth are a very good example of this as I think are Millwall. Now if Leeds remaining game v Portsmouth is at Portsmouth then they will find it very difficult to get a win. Whereas if Portsmouth are away at Leeds the likelihood is that Leeds will win.

Several so-called expert pundits have studied Burnley's defensive set up this season and pointed out ways to beat it, and yet all the Championship managers/coaches have tried and failed to pierce our defence more than once in any league game this season.

Lets hope it stays that way right through to the end of the season!

I'd be interested to know how many goals we've conceded from open play. There was a corner v Norwich we conceded from and the West Brom free kick. Millwall away was a corner I think as well.

We've then got the ridiculous strike from Weinman for Blackburn. So in reality we've actually conceded about 6 or 7 'normal' open play goals all season.

Although when they put the league table up they had Leeds two points ahead of us on 83. Really good summary though.

I thought Leeds were the worst out of those 4. No attacking intent at all on the night.
