Trafford 7
Roberts 5 - we need a new right back
Egan Riley -7 - I don't think I rate him quite as highly as everyone else.
Esteve - 10 - Faultless in pretty much everything he does
Pires - 8 - Fantastic bit of defending when they were breaking down the right near the end. Biding his time rather than diving in and used his body to ease their player off the ball.
Cullen 9
Hannibal 9 - Energy, Quality and intelligent runs. What's not to like
Brownhill 7
Edwards 4 - he's one of those players where if it's not his game he can be dreadful. This was one of those days
Anthony 6
Flemming 5

All in all another great result. In a way under VK it all seemed very cold and business like but this season there just seems to be a real togetherness, everybody pulling in the same direction and it shows on the pitch with the players giving their all week in week out and reaping the rewards. I'm just proud to be a Burnley fan and am loving the ride at the moment. Anyway, i'll get on with scoring...

Trafford - 7
Roberts - 6
Pires - 8
Esteve - 8
Egan-Riley - 8
Brownhill - 7
Cullen - 8
Anthony - 6
Edwards - 5
Hannibal - 9
Flemming - 7

A mention for Sarmiento, who i thought added energy and drive

Really surprised at the low marks for Josh Brownhill - he might not have been overly effective on the ball but his off the ball work was sensational last night. Breaking play up, pressing and getting important challenges in playing in that deeper role. I thought he was very good.

A very good point regarding Brownhill. High pressing winning tackles, intercepted to start the move for the second goal, exceptional work rate last night.

Great team performance when they must have all been shattered.

Hannibal came in and gave us the extra energy we needed, he had a great game plus a brilliant goal.

Well done BFC

Trafford 7 Well protected again by his defenders
Roberts 7 Was he carrying a knock? Saw him stretching on at least a couple of occasions
Egan- Riley 8 a determined display especially in that last 20 mins.
Esteve 9 Steady throughout. Magnificent in the last 20
Pires 8 A good footballer. Just lost his winger once towards the end
Edwards 6 looked like 3 games in 6 days took its toll
Brownhill 8 classic case of going unnoticed but doing it very efficiently
Hannibal 8 Thrived on the situation facing us. Worked hard, scored and kept his head
Cullen 8 so vital to us. His booking was worrying but still got involved
Anthony 7 Excellent first half, faded in second half a bit
Flemming 7 Thankless task against two more giants. Gave it all he had though.
Did enough in the first half to deserve the win. Didn't react in second half to them replacing a defender with a good forward. Not sure at my age how many more like that I can cope with.

Edwards was double marked
Noticed that Hannibal seemed to favour Anthony’s side and Pires quite attacking too
Wondered if that was a tactic to overload 1 side

From tv in Goodies Bar Benalmadena and having watched the full replay
Trafford 7 he is much confident controlling his box and six yard area these days
Roberts 7 good in attack first half, good in defence second half
CJ 7 stood along Esteve in the second half
Esteve 8 imperious second half display
Pires 8 really is finding his feet now, at last
Cullen 8 everywhere, his pass completions must have been in the 90%s
Brownhill 7 good first half display, faded in the second
Hannibal 9 mom, without doubt his best game for us, plus he scored a great goal and could have had two more
Edwards 5 heavily marked and looked leggy
Flemming 7 was involved in much of our good attacking play in the first half
Flemming 7 his first half was an 8, his second was a 6.

Our first half performance was up there with the best this season and we could easily have scored 5. They changed to a back four in the second half and brought on the impressive Sargent up front, which changed the game completely. Our second half performances never seem to match our first half...this may be due to the fact that this is still a very young team, which is still learning the ropes at this level. Three massive home points, made better by Wilder’s Blades bottling it again today...I still have big smile on my face. We have to maintain our standards and game plans for the few games left. Well done Parker, our game management is improving at the right time.

Trafford 7 - did what he needed to do well
Roberts 6 - not his best game, but there has to be consideration for number of games played recently
Egan-Riley 7 - caught out a couple of times, but has the best pingers since Angels
Esteve 8- a proper, proper defender
Pires 8 - really come into his own now. Brief lapse at th end but must have been understandably knackered
Cullen 9 - imperious. Ran the show yet again. Wonderful assist. Wonderful player.
Brownhill 7 - not bad, good energy, not his best position
Hannibal 9 - excellent performance and great goal. Now marrying technical ability to his usual energy and aggression
Edwards 6 - quieter game but he still occupies players and stretches defences
Anthony 7 - good energy again and does a lot of work for the team, just needs to work on end product
Flemming 7 - thought he harried reasonably well against two brutes

Got the job done against a team we really should have killed off in the first hour or so. Let them back into it and it was always going to be a nervy one against such a potent forward line but we dug in well. Only real qualm is that we appear to over think it on set pieces - don’t want to go all Mike Bassett but just get the ball in the box from the corner, esp if we’ve not tested them yet. Norwich have conceded quite a few from them this season. And why Flemming didn’t take the free kick on after his belter the other week, I’ve no idea. Small qualms though as we’re doing the business at a critical stage of the season and lots of credit must go to the team and management after a gruelling week or so.

I think it's easy to forget the effort put in by ALL the players in defending. JB doesn't just ghost in and go for goal; he's closing down and harrying the rest of the time. Nobody's allowed to just stand there watching in a SP team.

JT made a tremendous catch at the death.
Josh Cullen played arguably the pass of the season
Hannibal did it all and was, IMO, MOM.
