Unless they score two I'd say that's Luton down looking at their remaining fixtures

Great results for us today.....Watford hopefully on the beach now.
Re: Today's football
Watford 2 wins in 6
QPR 1 win in 6
Gotta get it done against these two as Millwall look spicy with 4 wins in 6.

Millwall have Rovers away, Norwich and Swansea home in their next three. They could win all those.

Re: Today's football
Bayern losing 1-0 at home to Dortmund, not a good week for VK.
Already 2-1 down to Inter in the champions league with a trip to the San Siro this week which could be a must win for his job.
He only just clung on with a calamity last minute goal against Celtic in the group stages.
Bayern cannot defend.

Plymouth v SU
Enjoy!
The SU lot at the end looked like they know the game is up.

Re: Today's football
Been saying for weeks, and again this morning-Wilder is not the manager for the dressing room when it comes to motivating and getting the best out of the team , and remaining calm. You only need to look at his aggressive body language stance in recent interviews and on the touchlinewarksclaret wrote: ↑Sat Apr 12, 2025 9:57 amI think Wilder at present does not know his best team, and I suspect he is not the calming influence in the dressing room-good luck to Plymouth today

Still can’t believe that Sheffield Utd result today. We’re going up, it’s done.

Re: Today's football
I’m not sure what your point is? Plymouth are bottom of the Championship. They are the weakest opposition one could face. According to yourself they had the 4th worst home record, so I conceded that in fact it was the 4th easiest away fixture in the Championship. What point are you trying to make?

It doesn't quite work like that at this point though. I would rather face Watford away next week than Plymouth.Rileybobs wrote: ↑Sat Apr 12, 2025 10:57 pmI’m not sure what your point is? Fair enough. I’d rather face the team we scored 5 goals against in the opening 45 minutes.willsclarets wrote: ↑Sat Apr 12, 2025 11:00 pmIt doesn't quite work like that at this point though. I would rather face Watford away next week than Plymouth.

One thing you can always say about that taio character is that he can't handle his drink. Becomes a nasty piece of work in the evenings.

Re: Today's football
Yep football works like that. It would be the same next week because we beat them so easily last time. And there's no factors that might make Plymouth a trickier proposition than Watford. Or for that fact any other team at the bottom as opposed to one with nothing to play for.
Re: Today's football
Maybe after today's win they now have the 7th worst home record? For some reason, you tried to make it sound like Sheff U's game was easy but in the context of their season (2 straight defeats and in a panic) and Plymouth's (desperately needing 3 points) it wasn't and you've now got egg on ya face. My point this afternoon was that Plymouth's home form has kept them in the hunt for survival coz their away form is truly dreadful so it was never going to be easy. But you keep being confused as to why people are replying and defending themselves...Rileybobs wrote: ↑Sat Apr 12, 2025 10:57 pmI’m not sure what your point is? Re: Today's football
Yes I can quite imagine their home record now is better than it was before they won. Egg on my face? For saying that the team at the bottom of the league is the easiest fixture, really? I never claimed this would be an easy game for Sheff Utd, nor did I predict that they’d win. In isolation no games are easy at this level, but this was the weakest opponent they could have faced, so about as easy as it comes. Not really too hard to grasp, but some see to be struggling.dvalley69 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 12, 2025 11:32 pmMaybe after today's win they now have the 7th worst home record? Re: Today's football
Insinuated, which is more or less a claim, that it was easy by wrongly saying they have the worst home record in the Champ, when it's not actually that bad for the bottom-placed side, especially after today. And again, you're taking no context into it at all because it wasn't the easiest game for them. Plymouth are actually in good form, 9th, over the last 6 games, even if they're bottom. They're bringing themselves back into contention. The easiest would've been the ****, Pompey or Norwich who are bottom of that table! But let's just keep banging on about things as though they're black and white though, shall we...Rileybobs wrote: ↑Sat Apr 12, 2025 11:40 pmYes I can quite imagine their home record now is better than it was before they won. Not just my opinion. It was for all these teams: Sheff Utd, Norwich, Watford, Cardiff, Millwall, Liverpool, WBA, Oxford, Bristol City, Middlesbrough, Watford, Portsmouth, PNE, Rovers, Luton, Sunderland & Hull.

Yet have conceded less than Leverkusen and indeed everybody else in the Bundesliga. Also set to concede less than last season when they were managed by the current England coach.

Celtic have conceded the least goals in the SPL less than Rangers it means naff all, Tuchel would still be there if they liked what he was doing.Swizzlestick wrote: ↑Sun Apr 13, 2025 1:32 amYet have conceded less than Leverkusen and indeed everybody else in the Bundesliga. VK could be gone if they lose to Inter. Conceded 12 in 8 in the champions league group stage which is what they get judged off
