Highest attendance in Europe after the Premier League.
Very few teams with no chance of playoffs or relegation at this stage of the season - although some percentage chances are very low.
Sadly, whilst Blackburn’s chance of reaching the playoffs is 0.2%, they cannot finish in the relegation spots. But, on a positive note, there’s always next season for that!

Re: Good article on the Championship
I remember in the mid 90's, Danny Baker released a couple of video's entitled " Own goals and gaffes ", in which he described the Championship as ...
" It's like the Borgia's in that league, anybody can beat anybody on the day, teams seem to edge ahead, only to be knifed by another team, having their promotion or play-off hopes shattered, or being seemingly safe, then losing 3 on the trot, and having to scramble to safety again ! "
To illustrate this, it was followed by the goals from the 1992-93 Play Off final, when Swindon were home and hosed at 3-0, before Leicester brought it back to 3-3, before Swindon won it with a late penalty ..

Ex-Claret, Steve Thompson, scored in the game. So did Glen Hoddle.

I can't understand why Sky and their legion of armchair fans don't wake up to the fact that the championship is a miles better watch than almost every PL game. Bournemouth v Fulham when neither team will ever win the PL in the next 100 years or Plymouth v Sheffield Utd as showcased last Saturday?? (For example) Stick your billions into that (imo)

Re: Good article on the Championship
I was there as I grew up in Swindon and my teenage years were following the Town all over (including a bus bricking at Ewood and a street fight in Bolton). If I had known then that I'd be a Burnley Season ticket holder for 15+ years I'd have laughed

Re: Good article on the Championship
I remember going to a pre season friendly at Swindon around 75ish. There was around 15 young Burnley fans who came on the ground worse for wear, and I swear, within 30 seconds they were scrapping with the home fans.
