Thank you, he was the best!
I think that photo was taken at Wembley 2011
V Sheffield Wednesday.

Sure he’s looking down on us with a big smile on his face.
It was Wembley v Sheff Utd, 2009.

Gosh so long ago! Thank you!
He was a Claret through and through, went to
all the matches, home and away!

Great picture. I didn’t know him but I’m sure he was watching down on everyone yesterday and celebrating. A true claret for sure. God bless you Nigel.

Nigel Standidge. Couple of years above me at Walton High many years ago. Didn't really know him but he was one of the faces you saw at every game, even back in the darkest days of the mid 80s when not so many of us were daft enough to trek around the lower league grounds to watch what was usually an inevitable defeat. Sad news indeed to read of his passing, know as Knock Off Nige by another Claret who sadly passed away over 5 years ago, Alan Beecroft.

Beeky. A colleague of my stepfather at British Gas and friend of our family for over 40 years. He was unique, funny, outrageous, controversial, outspoken and always willing to help people in need. It was a sad day when we lost him to MND 5 years ago. This picture I would guess is from the early 80s as I went on a BG trip to Wembley in 1982 to watch England v Holland and he was wearing that t shirt then...

Yep , remember him well, one of Nigel’s mates!
I think last time I saw him was at Manchester airport when we were flying out to Athens to watch Burnley play, I think about 2018.
