You do but considering it was a “tea time” kick off you would have thought they may have upped the quantity they ordered.Burnley1989 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 22, 2025 4:34 pmThey had none in the Jimmy mac upper at HT
Lets be honest though, you've got to be extremely hungry to buy a pie that's absolutely garbage 90% of the time. I only have a few a season these days.

I don't normally bother, but after a few afternoon pints and seeing no queue i quite fancied one till i realised i couldn't just walk up and buy one.Burnley1989 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 22, 2025 4:34 pmThey had none in the Jimmy mac upper at HT

Went to the concourse bar on Longside upper at half time yesterday. Didn't go down until the half-time whistle went and got 4th in the queue. Served pretty quickly too. No complaints for once!
I wouldn't bother if I had to pre-order like in other stands though.

You don't have to preorder, you can do it and have it straight away.Falcon wrote: ↑Tue Apr 22, 2025 4:57 pmWent to the concourse bar on Longside upper at half time yesterday. Didn't go down until the half-time whistle went and got 4th in the queue. Served pretty quickly too. No complaints for once!

Had a pint in the Fanzone yesterday as I was a bit early (Wainwrights Ale) then went up onto the JHU Concourse and had a Coffee and a Meat and Potato pie (nuclear reactor hot piejrgbfc wrote: ↑Tue Apr 22, 2025 4:26 pmSo i went in the Longside lower yesterday, normally go in the Bob Lord. Thought i'd grab a quick pie before the game only to be told at the counter i had to order on the touchscreens, which didn't seem to be working so i just didn't bother in the end.
Is it like that everywhere in the Longside and Jimmy Mac now?

Porretti on draft yesterday in the JHL. A good upgrade.

The trouble with the touchscreen is once you have ordered something they can't give you a refund.
So if you order a pint and still in the queue as the 2nd half starts you still need to get your pint. You can't just sack it off.

They’ve got a committed sale. Genius if you’re the club.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Tue Apr 22, 2025 5:37 pmThe trouble with the touchscreen is once you have ordered something they can't give you a refund.

I’d a similar experience to Quickenthetempo, pre match at the Norwich game, when ordering 3 different drinks in the concourse bar under the Bob Lord stand. There were 2 people serving in the bar. A young lady served us and put the bill amount into the machine, which I paid. The problem was the Pirreto had run out. So said she’d go and get the bar manager to change the barrel. I looked the long queue and thought of the hold up this would cause. I suggested she gave me an alternative drink, which was 80p cheaper and would order another Bene, then she could knock the difference off. I asked how much for a Bene and unbelievably she hadn’t a clue. But she couldn’t do that, so set off for the bar manager. When he came, his 1st words were, I will go and change the barrel, which I stopped him doing, demanding he sort out a way of giving me the money owed. Simple, he cancelled the payment and put the new payment into the machine. Probably 15 mins taken up and leaving 1 member of staff to cope with the queue. It was a shame for the young girl, who appeared to have been on her first day of working behind a bar and thrown into the task with little or no training.

We were told they were installing touch screens two years ago but I’ve never seen one in the Longside Upper.jrgbfc wrote: ↑Tue Apr 22, 2025 4:26 pmSo i went in the Longside lower yesterday, normally go in the Bob Lord.
