Bath Claret.
Just a word for Joe Worrall.
Little used due to the reasons we now but hugged SP as if he'd played every game.

Re: Barnes reaction to the penalty
He's been fantastic in his role and professionalism this season and probably a great leader day to day but if we replace Esteve with Worrall for a season in the premier league we may as well not bother going up. He's really not that good

No disrespect to him, but hopefully not. But he has played his part this season. These last few games he’s regularly be barking orders from the touch line whilst reckoning to warm up. You can tell he’s a great character and proper pro. He will play his part again next year and be a cracking back up should we need him.

Some pretty raucous shenanigans going on behind Barnes in the (allegedly sedate/sedated!) Bob Lord stand. I'm genuinely shocked and can only assume they're renegades from the CFS!!

Re: Barnes reaction to the penalty
Worrall has been doing this all season to be fair. Constantly shouting out during the game and chatting to players like Humphreys, CJ and, just the other night, Hannibal walking off at half time - not done too much on the field, but players like him and Barnes are worth their weight in gold in the dressing room - Barnes in particular seemed immensely popular with the young lads in the VK promotion season. JW will probably get some game time to see out the season and will hopefully be a good squad option moving forward.FeedTheArf wrote: ↑Wed Apr 23, 2025 4:41 pmNo disrespect to him, but hopefully not. Having a mix of characters in the group is helpful. Barnes with his exuberance and Worrall with his calm manner - best of both worlds!

We seem to have a raft of characters the like of which Sean Dyche built his teams on.

I am very prominent in that video, on the front row, and I have had my season ticket in there for a long time, as have most of the people who sit with me.

No “ gestures” from me. Just climbed on the wall and got a bollocking from a steward. Not bad for 64 yr old!!Dark Cloud wrote: ↑Wed Apr 23, 2025 8:04 pmYou'll all be getting banned if there's any repeat of those gestures!!! You'll have to retire your travelling rugs!!!

Re: Barnes reaction to the penalty
I know I've had a drink, but why are they looking to the right, if only slightly ?
Can only think they may be in the very far end of the stand, but even that doesn't
seem to add up. However, all the writing is the right way round.
Someone put me right please.

Re: Barnes reaction to the penalty
I think we may see more of him next season, regardless of if CJ/Steve are/aren’t here
We’ve seen a few times this season him come on in the middle of those 2 creating a centre 3 which I think we’ll see being used next year

Re: Barnes reaction to the penalty
I’m just off screen . i’d travelled up from Cornwall in the morning. He’s such a character and talisman for BFC.
A team needs their leaders - with Charisma.
I was thinking this morning about Glenn Hoddles decision not to take Gazza to the World Cup. He was missed.
We missed Barnesy last season.

Re: Barnes reaction to the penalty
He was there to be centre back but got injured and along came Egan-Riley!
