Stupid question?

What happens to the parachute payments due to us and other teams that are going back up before the 3 yr period,is it used in any way?
Be nice to split it amongst the championship sides to help narrow the gap a little.

We were only due 2 years worth this time anyway as we were only in the Premier League for 1 season.

A tweet from Kieran Maguire on Monday
“ When Leicester & Southampton were relegated in 2022/23 and promoted the following season £102m in parachute payments were saved...these savings have been split between Premier League clubs.

Should Burnley and Leeds be promoted today then a further £51m will be saved...this will also be divided between PL clubs.”

Would much rather see it split between the Championship clubs than the Premier league clubs.
