Re: Sunderland v Coventry
Admittedly I haven't seen much of him but going off both play off games Bellingham has been very disappointing
Re: Sunderland v Coventry
Whoever wins this neither will get past Sheff U, they are much stronger, especially with their fire power. They won’t blow it this time.
Re: Sunderland v Coventry
Coventry have been the better side across both legs in my opinion.
Weird that this Sunderland side who have some good players are happy to just play on the counter.

Re: Sunderland v Coventry
Not everything comes off, for him.
But I've always thought he stands out for Cov.
Decent player.
Re: Sunderland v Coventry
One of my pet peeves with players, Le Fe in this case, is when they make a hash of a chance and go into 'exhibition' mode by showing everyone how frustrated with the fluffed chance they are.......with the ball still in play a few feet in front of them

I hate that Haji Wright spends 70% of the time in an offside position.

Unless Sheffield United really are cursed I'd fancy them strongly to beat either of these two.

Re: Sunderland v Coventry
Cov have gone up through the gears and pinned the Mackems back. They've pinpointed the full backs and overloaded down the flanks.
Cov look well coached and much better on the ball than Sunderland. Looks like Frank has done a good job there and we fix well to beat them at their place.

I thinking that one may pronounce the “e” in his first name
Re: Sunderland v Coventry
Sakamoto has been absolutely outstanding for Coventry. A real 10 out of 10 performance. I didn’t realise just how good he is, and his work rate is incredible.
Re: Sunderland v Coventry
Mundle is another who's looked decent this season and gone under the radar. He also came through the spurs academy.

Re: Sunderland v Coventry
What a strange game this is.
Don't know about anyone else, but I feel the prospect of deciding a whole season's
outcome for these two sides on penalties is most unsatisfactory.

Just shows that in this season's championship, there's nothing below the top 3.Funkydrummer wrote: ↑Tue May 13, 2025 10:24 pmWhat a strange game this is.

Sheffield Utd aside, it could be any 3 of nearly a dozen sides contesting the play offside this year.Funkydrummer wrote: ↑Tue May 13, 2025 10:24 pmWhat a strange game this is.

Always likely after Wright missed that sitter with the last touch of the 90.

Oh well, that's the price for not pressing home your superiority on the day.

Coventry looked the better side over two legs, but shot themselves in the foot.
Sunderland have a lot of players who look knackered and out of sorts. I’ll be surprised if they beat Sheffield United.

**** off Frank and Coventry. Moaning *****.
Re: Sunderland v Coventry
That ball boy who very quickly threw a ball in his hand to the Sunderland player for a throw in just before they won that corner, played a massive part in that Sunderland attack. It was such a quick move by him, the Cov players were all out of position.

Gonna be an interesting one who wins the toss and wears their near identical home shirts. For me it should be the Blades for finishing 3rd.
