When you look at that list and more importantly, where we are positioned, there’s an awful lot to feel proud of there!

All the years I looked at the PL and never thought for one minute we'd ever get into it.

Thanks to Owen Coyle we did and the appointment of Sean Dyche was one of the best things this club have ever done.

It now seems we have to be in it to survive a financial meltdown.

With parachute payments being four years when we first went up there, we have been in Premier League money since 2009. So, even if we come straight back down it’ll be at least 19 years of Premier League money. In the mid-2000’s I thought we’d never get there.

How on earth have Huddlesfield had 2 seasons in the PL.

I also genuinely forgot about Blackpool

Absolutely, John! You know, for many years I never thought we'd get back to the top tier and here we are about to enter our tenth season up there.

It's a truly amazing achievement and we should be proud of our club.

My thoughts too
And after relegation the first time my thoughts were I v
never expected to see us in the top flight and was pleased the experience Barry and Coyle gave me. I never expected to return as agree that Sean was the best thing to happen to us since the 70’s

And yet in 2013/14 season we didn’t have a pot to p in.

How many years did Barry Kilby say we were set up for after the wembley win?

It shows how that money quickly dwindles away when you're not actually in the premier league.

I think the market crash caused problems for at least two directors in Ingleby and Flood which didn’t help
Also didn’t a director die around the time of the play offfinal?

By getting promoted from the Championship and not being relegated after the first season.

Possibly, I don't know
But the impact would have been far less had we stayed in the premier league

After we had beaten Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the 'Capital Punishment' cup-run I turned to my mates' lad and his cousin and said, "Make the most of this, it doesn't happen very often".

And yet, since then...... . Daft old fool.

Ray Griffiths passed away that summer. I’m not certain but I don’t think he was well enough to attend the po final at Wembley.

Absolutely this. Growing up watching the start and rise of the Premiership/Premier League I never thought we’d get there. And then when we came down in the Coyle/Laws season I thought that would be that. Forever a second tier club.

But to be having our 10th season next season in the EPL is just incredible.

Since then we've beaten all the big clubs away from home bar Spurs and Man city (beaten them at home).
