Well, that was disappointing!
Didn’t announce it until thousands of people had spent a sodding fortune though!😡

I had read that he’d broken his hand and couldn’t play guitar. He was sat down last night and appeared to be struggling.
I was hoping to go but just decided the tickets were too much.

Tickets were dear but have waited for this for a long time.
Sat in a canal side bar listening to their greatest hits. Making me feel worse if anything!😂😂😂😂

Unfortunate for all concerned but I guess it’s the risk you take with artists approaching 80.

It's only the other week some expected Neil Young to be firing on all cylinders. Id love the magic capsule some of you take where age doesn't matter.

ELO cancelled tonight’s gig at the very last minute. Jeff Lynne had been struggling with an injury sustained a few days ago and couldn’t play the guitar properly last night. Probably a step too far for somebody pushing 80 to perform tonight too. Unfortunate for those who made travel/hotel arrangements.

If you haven't already, you should go and see ELO Again tribute band. They are fantastic. They are on in Blackpool in Jan but nearly sold out. I think floor seats are the only ones left.

No one was blaming Jeff Lynne for being ill/injured.
There was a lot of anger at the way they let people spend a fortune on food and drink and merchandise when they knew damm well there was to be no show.

Feel for you CK………….saw them back in the early 80’s at the NEC…………snowed horrendously all day and the place was half full, but at the end they just carried on playing having said “might as well play a few more ‘cos you’re going nowhere because of the snow!”

I and about 8 others had tickets for that concert at the NEC back in the 80s. We were planning to go in two cars. We set off early but couldn't get out of Burnley because of the snow.Manchester Rd was blocked at the summit, you couldn't get on to the motorway at Gannow Top, Padiham was blocked off, so we gave it up as a bad job and went to the local pub for a few beers.
Mrs Vino and I still regret missing the opportunity to see them and still talk about it when we see them on TV.

They have done this before. I think it was when Nikki Minaj had been arrested.

On a way smaller scale (but just as annoying to me) the landlord at the Tivoli, next to Milmoor, let me buy a round of eight drinks then told me the game was off.

Have now cancelled The Hyde Park show tomorrow evening so the Manchester one may turn out to be his last show ever.

Seen them the last two years at Platform, Morecambe
All band members enjoy themselves, cellists especially.
