A midweek trip to the seaside in the old Burnley September School holidays. This might have been my second ever away game.

Used to love going Blackpool away in those days. For many reasons. Standing on that open end away terrace. A similar albeit smaller ground to the turf at that time.

Some following given how poor we were and the level we were at.

Remember going to a game there in winter once and it hit abandoned as we arrived. Very cold night.

Phil Stant the ex squaddie always scored against us.

We were always linked with him but again as with many others it never materialised.

Mumby was a good young player but sadly it never happened for him, Deary against his old club, none of the "don't celebrate" nonsense.
