Koleosho is a great young player who, when returning from a long term injury, was absolutely hung out to dry by Parker's favouritism of Anthony. That we're here with so many fans slating and wanting rid of Koleosho from where we were 12 months ago just shows how terribly he has been handled and I hope he gets a proper chance with us this season because otherwise we'll lose him and watch him succeed somewhere else.

Actually if you'd look back to start the season they were both playing together, initially with Anthony on the left and Koleosho on the right, then they were swapped to put Koleosho on his favoured left-hand side and he simply didn't deliver.

From there, we had various set ups including playing Hannibal off the left, Sarmiento and even Foster.

Once we signed Marcus Edwards, Anthony moved back permanently to the left-hand side with ME on the right and we didn't look back.

Absolutely nothing to do with being 'hung out to dry' - Anthony was fantastic for us last season and Koleosho was poor.

That doesn't mean it's over for Kolo; instead, it means he needs to continue developing and learning his trade. Currently, he isn't a player we can rely on to be a consistent performer week in and week out.

If true, I would imagine the loan is Ortega, can't see a way he would come to up permanently.

You would imagine the two permanents were youth players.

However, I'd be very doubtful this gets done. Even single player to player trades rarely happen due to all the complexities involved in the deal. All players have to want to move, all player have to agree terms and pass medicals. Just can't see a 3 in, 1 out deal working.

There were dozens of occasions last season where he was 1 on 1 with a defender but chose to cut inside or when going on the outside ran out of play or didn't have the pace to beat his full back, were not even talking rapid full backs.
He's lost some pace there's no doubt about it.
The reason he featured less and less is because he isn't good enough, he has no end product so without the pace what can he offer us?
He'd be 5th choice winger here, he needs to play.

I like Koleosho as he is direct and pacy, but his decision making in the final third is as poor as any Burnley forward I've seen in recent years.
I appreciate he is raw, but in the Premier league, when our goalscoring chances are likely at a premium, I wouldn't want him to be the man with the ball in those situations.
Loan him out for me.

He played for 1860 Munich and had 5 years or so at Arminia Bielefeld before going to City, we are a step up from that level playing in the premier league, I’d also imagine he is one of their lowest earners - 40/50k a week maybe?

I’d rather just get £30m and Ortega. We don’t need any more wingers. Squad lacks physicality, height and nous. Mcatee and Bobb are great footballers but the squad is unbalanced as it is. Maybe take one of them on loan if it doesn’t impact on the price but we need money to spend and get what we truly lack.

I don’t think Ederson leaving will have any bearing on what happens to Ortega. Backup GK is one of the easiest and cheapest squad members to replace.

If Trafford is going there for £40m you’d expect he’s first choice.

Some big moves to Turkey including managers. This is despite them not really paying big transfer fees.

Whilst not paying the transfer fee gives them leeway to pay massive wages when you see some of the players choosing to play there at the end of their contracts feels like it could be possible that they receive tax or other incentives. A lot of these deals often seem short term too with many players looking to leave Turkey after a year or two.

Yeah that sort of player is imperative and he looks ideal.

Of course there is still time but the longer we leave it the more those players will have been snapped up. Let’s hope there’s a conclusion to the Trafford saga soon and we can focus on who’s coming in.
