Playa Blanca, Lanzarote in October. Always go abroad in October as me and the missus don't like the heat.

I'm flying out to join up with my private yacht out in Monte Carlo and going on a 2 week jaunt around the riviera. Then I am off to my apartment in Beverley Hills for another 2 weeks as the Mrs wants to do some shopping on Rodeo Drive.
Am I b*llocks. 5 nights in Benidorm in August which I've managed to stretch into more or less 6 days thanks to the flights

Where was the hospital when you were last here? On a cobbled side street near the centre, because it's moved now? Was Castello's the restaurant opposite?
yes and I spoke to you in the bar that Jose ran but can't remember its name

I didn't get down today as I was busy, but I'm into town tomorrow. I've walked past it a couple of times this trip without really taking it in. I think it's still the same, but I'll confirm this tomorrow evening.
Did we chat in Lionheart, maybe 2012 or 2013? The bloke I talked to in there was from Rochdale.

Yer each to their own really , but for me the one stand out thing about Titanic museum is that there was nothing from the titanic in the museum , not even a door knob.

Bergamo is a good place for an easy cheap ryanair weekend. quieter than Milan itself but plenty of places to eat and drink and a good walk up to the old town.
Due to an Easyjet transfer fvckup (many years ago) I stayed in Bergamo for two days- it was the best part of the holiday.

Next month a two week trip with couple of days in Munich, a week in the Austrian Alps and then 5 days in Slovenia.
Love the mountains in the Summer and taking my young kids for the first time. Hopefully they love it as much.

You remembered the owner of the Lionheart's name. I'd forgotten it. He sold it. It doesn't have the same atmosphere now. I'd argue that the whole town isn't what it was.

He was a friendly chap was Jose but he was always saying he couldn't afford to keep his bar open because he didn't have air con and wasn't prepared to pay the ridiculous cost of installing it so it was smoker friendly.Good luck to him, he was a very pleasant chap.Me and my wife visited Lagos quite a few times pre covid. In your opinion has it gone downhill?

There has been quite a lot of violence in the early hours in the centre. Two people kicked to death. A drug shooting in a nearby village. But it's the cost of hotels that are putting people off coming. They are ridiculous. It's so expensive, it's going to be a quiet summer.

Hard to know without trying them. P de Rocha looks boring to me; A de Pera I don't know. You want to have a good look at the hotel prices. They are high. A place I like on the Algarve is at the east end: Tavira is a nice place. Have a look at it on YouTube. It doesn't attract kids. Just remembered! A place I do like is Olhao, and it's handy for Faro airport. I've been over to meet an old mate from my home town twice in recent years. You could check the prices there.

Sat eating lunch in Es Cana Ibiza when along comes a young lad wearing a Burnley shirt, I couldn't help myself! He seemed a bit embarrassed that I called him out and gave it SP's C&B army. His embarrassment was furthered the 2nd time he passed when I started singing No Nay Never! I'm still trying to out why he was so shy and didn't give it large.

Live in southern Spain so blessed with weather & things to do but been to Puliga in Italy & base ourselves in Polignano de mare then travel around, going again Sept but we have several weeks a year on the Costa del Luz (Conil / Santi Pectri) which are stunning & only about 1.20 away from us, going to Fueteventura in early Nov & March, only 1.30 & cheap flight away.

My favourite wine comes from Puglia, it's a negroamaro primitivo puglia, about £10 from M&S, not heavy and juicy.

Try the Black Duck for lunch or Dinner (Make a reservation, especially for Dinner). Several different ways of cooking a duck, it turns out

So much within an hour and 20 or so when you live on the continent. When i eventualy get tired of my season ticket and frequency of visiting Manchester Airport like a Divorced dad rendezvousing at a Service Station i think i'll see a lot of Ryanair and WizzAir's finest destinations
Treviso is one on the list to check out, with Bergamo already having been well worth not bothering with the extra jaunt to Milan itself.
