England looking the more likely now.

I’d genuinely take Agyemang over Callum Wilson

Get in....from the rebound.

Her penalty was a good one the other night.
Re: UEFA European Women's Championship

They were laughing with 2 mins to go, now theyre all crying.

Re: UEFA European Women's Championship
To be fair I'm not a fan of seeing bad decisions so I've a lot of sympathy for the Italians.
I didn't see a great replay but it looked a really soft decision.

Oddly enough, they're not falling down as if they'd been shot after tackle now .. funny that !!

The Italians tried to cheat their way to victory there. Not a great performance, but they deserved to win. Chloe Kelly has to start.

Tough on the Italian keeper. She'd a good game.
But well done ENGLAND.

Re: UEFA European Women's Championship
Some people may call the “quality” of the women’s game, but what they can’t deny is this group of Lionesses don’t know when they are beaten

What a game that was!
I'm sure it won't please everyone, but at least they can **** off in their hooped socks over issues of Shoot! From 1994

Watched it in a bar in Torraltinha, Lagos.
Re: UEFA European Women's Championship
I'm not sure that the England penalty would have been given
had it occurred in the mens' game.
Or should I say I've seen worse (in the mens' game) not given.
Still you've got to give to the ladies.
They keep coming back.
Not too sure how they'll fare in the final especially if it's Spain
but hey ho they're in another final.
Well done the Lionesses.

Re: UEFA European Women's Championship
The front 3, Russo, Hemp, James/Mead have grown old together and never look like scoring but the young guns coming on late is working so I doubt there’ll be any change for the final.

I said at the time that it was a soft one but it's not something that VAR would overturn as there was a bit of contact.jurek wrote: ↑Tue Jul 22, 2025 11:11 pmI'm not sure that the England penalty would have been given

We'll see far softer given next year in the premier league.

Re: UEFA European Women's Championship
Wow. I’m stunned at that. James seems to be carrying a knock so I’ll forgive her but Hemp has metal boots. She was flying past people when they won it but never got beyond her marker all night for pace. Russo is a good line leader but currently struggling for goals. Not helped by being so isolated.

Re: UEFA European Women's Championship
Interesting match-up in the other semi final tonight ... Germany v Spain
I see the Italians have lodged an official complaint about the penalty award last night, with their Coach saying it wouldn't have been a free kick any where else on the pitch. On the contrary, it would have been given 9 times out of 10 outside the Box, but Referees often ignore holding/wrestling offences in the penalty area. The Referee had the guts to award it last night, well done her.
England's equaliser last night came 5 minutes & 3 seconds into stoppage time. The Italians might reflect that had they not stayed down after every hard tackle or foul, there would not have been 7 minutes extra added on ...

All in for Germany tonight. We can beat them but I feel we’d struggle to score against the Spanish.

Re: UEFA European Women's Championship
When they are done playing do they rush home to make dinner and do the washing up?

Re: UEFA European Women's Championship
My thoughts exactly. Germany play in a straightforward way. Spain very skilful and smother their opposition.Tricky Trevor wrote: ↑Wed Jul 23, 2025 7:59 pmAll in for Germany tonight. We can beat them but I feel we’d struggle to score against the Spanish.
Come on Germany! (Not sure about penalties but I don't think it would matter anyway)
Re: UEFA European Women's Championship
Whenever I hear lots of females shouting and bawling at these women’s games I’m always reminded of the stoning scene in Life Of Brian.
Re: UEFA European Women's Championship
This Spain/Germany match is yawn.

Just seen two guys go by in Basel. Thought they were B*stards but have been informed that Zurich grasshoppers have the same strip.
Re: UEFA European Women's Championship
No bank holiday if the ladies win it. Strange how Starmer was slagging off the Tories for not giving one last time.

They were both right, not deserving of a bank holiday. Anyway spirit is not going to be enough against Spain

Started, ITV. I thought kickoff would have been 4pm but there's 90 minutes of warmup.
Re: UEFA European Women's Championship
Need to get a hold of the midfield today. Think we've struggled there in this tournament.

Carter coming back in is a poor call. She has no pace.
