They'll certainly have to perform better than they did against Sweden and Italy. Thought they were quite poor in those games.ollieclarets8 wrote: ↑Sun Jul 27, 2025 11:51 amGot to agree. An England player saying recently they aren't underdogs but for me they are massive underdogs.
But at least they showed the grit and determination
to come back, hopefully they can improve.

In my limited experience of this team, what does James contribute?

Wouldn’t she be one of the first names on any team sheet, even in the men’s game?CaptainKirk wrote: ↑Sun Jul 27, 2025 5:15 pmIn my limited experience of this team, what does James contribute?
Re: UEFA European Women's Championship
Ref missed a clear FK when Spanish girl came from behind with big shove to flattened Enflish girl. Nothing given!
Re: UEFA European Women's Championship
Most skilful English player with bullet shot. Sadly, she knows it and coasts for large parts.CaptainKirk wrote: ↑Sun Jul 27, 2025 5:15 pmIn my limited experience of this team, what does James contribute?

Excellent goal but number 8 switched off to what was happening.

I don’t see the point of playing 5 in the middle when only Hemp wants the ball
Re: UEFA European Women's Championship
Spanish manager wears good quality white shirts!
Re: UEFA European Women's Championship
Russo holds the ball well, however, not hungry for goals.

Re: UEFA European Women's Championship
Agyemang on for 1 of the 3 centre mids
Kelly on for James
Mead for 1 of the other 2 midfielders
Before we’re 3.0 down

Re: UEFA European Women's Championship
Lauren James seems half arsed couldn’t be bothered, that may be he nature but ive not seen anything this tournament in attack of defence from her. I’d get agemayong on for her at half time

We’ve seen her quality and physical attributes so she’s either injured or unmotivated

Re: UEFA European Women's Championship
James’ body language is awful. All the others are giving 100%.
Re: UEFA European Women's Championship
Baffling that she's being talked about as a balloon d'or contender.
Re: UEFA European Women's Championship
I think she has the 'I know how good I am' syndrome. Thinks she just has to turn up.BleedingClaret wrote: ↑Sun Jul 27, 2025 5:35 pmWe’ve seen her quality and physical attributes so she’s either injured or unmotivated

There you go. Looks like she's been playing the game injured.BleedingClaret wrote: ↑Sun Jul 27, 2025 5:35 pmWe’ve seen her quality and physical attributes so she’s either injured or unmotivated
Re: UEFA European Women's Championship
She shouldn't be playing then. I've been shocked at her apparent lack of interest. Get the two subs on at half time and go for it otherwise it's 3-0 Spain

Well. Injury carrying it was then it appears , but in that case probably shouldn’t have been picked

Surprised that the pundits didn't call it out. Really lazy defendingdougcollins wrote: ↑Sun Jul 27, 2025 5:44 pmStanway, is it?
Inexcusable what she did on the Spain goal.
Re: UEFA European Women's Championship
Given how Kelly has been playing it seems strange to start a not fully fit James.
Going to be dangerous as we push further up for a goal. Spain look like they'll be able to exploit that .

Re: UEFA European Women's Championship
The girl who replaced the big, experienced woman (can't remember names) when the big girl with 100 caps dropped out, is too small snd not that positionally clever.
Pity to be picking holes when they are in the final, however, it's what we do.

Re: UEFA European Women's Championship
Joining you from Belfast hotel bedroom whilst Mrs T gets ready for tonights gig.
Why in heavens name has James started the last 3 games? She is not Messi. We played with 10 that half.
Lucy Bronze terrible ball watching for their goal.
Why are European teams so much better than us at keeping a move giing by passing in the penalty area?
We aren't beat yet.
Will comms please identify players by the name on their jersey. It sounds at times like Spain have XV out there.

Re: UEFA European Women's Championship
Basically it was like playing with 10 against a team that with 11 players fully on it you’d have your work cut out.
Wasted a substitution now
I feel like Stanway is playing unfit too
Has to be Agyemang and 442 now replacing 1 of the 3 midfielders
Mead will likely improve the midfield too

Re: UEFA European Women's Championship
Millie Bright dropped out
Assuming you mean Williamson or Carter
I think it’s likely Carter that you mean and she is struggling but gives 100%
Williamson the Blond girl has been out of position a lot this tournament
I think the level has gone up and our established players are a little bit behind the standard required
In the final though so?
Re: UEFA European Women's Championship
Stanway shown not to be a left back there!
Re: UEFA European Women's Championship
That's them, thanks. Carter is the weak one. Williamson ok.Bright was the collosus we are are missing.BleedingClaret wrote: ↑Sun Jul 27, 2025 6:05 pmMillie Bright dropped out
