Yes, we were there for that. Felt like it was happening in slow motion. We were surrounded by noisy jocks. Seemed like a second of silence/disbelief then absolute mayhem. Silenced the jocks for sure. Greatest bit of skill I think i've seen live.

Really! That's brilliant. One of the best weeks ever for me. Woke up on the Sunday morning after we'd beaten Sweden in the Quarter Final, with no plans for the coming week. Within 7 days I'd seen England in a World Cup Semi Final and a World Cup Final. Incredible stuff.

I saw Burnley become English Champions at Maine Road in May 1960. I'm happy with that in my life time.

I was there too. There were huge queues outside the Burnley end but none for youngsters so I got in easily. My grandad however had a long queue to negotiate. He came through the same turnstile as I did a few minutes later having given the operator a small
extra payment! We couldn’t see very much until Burnley scored and then a wave of supporters moved us down the terraces to a much better viewpoint.
I still remember the journey home through the Rossendale valley, just ahead of the team coach. There were people all along the route who had come out of their houses, some in dressing gowns. We stopped at the town hall to join the crowd and the coach halted and the players alighted. (all except Jimmy Mac who had got off the coach higher up Manchester Rd where he lived). It was a great night for a teenager.

Also at Greece vs Portugal final of EUROS.
Saw Palace beat City in the FA Cup Final.
All games/experiences I will remember forever!
