Cant see how two full stands can safely empty out of the one exit by the club shop tbh. Be surprised if that gets through planning.. tbdg

Will the second level of the Cricket Field go all the way over the top of the stand? So better facilities for away fans, or keep them all bundled in under the stand concourse?

The clubs corporate nonsense mentions that the FAB were positive towards these changes, but the posted minutes don’t mention what their response was. Are there any FAB members posting on this message board? If so, why other than you have signed an NDA have you not informed the wider fan base? Don’t you think that you had a duty to inform others? I hope that everyone else can see that the FAB doesn’t represent you it is a nodding dog group for the club to claim they have consulted the fans. The FAB constitutes 22(?) club selected people to be used by the club to satisfy very loose EPL guidelines.

The FAB are useless bottle jobs, if they can't communicate this out earlier then what is the point of them? Hopefully they get replaced by the ISA rapido!

Looks to me as though they are filling in the “void” between Harry Potts Way and the current turnstiles, creating a larger indoor concourse after the new turnstiles on HPW, with a “fan viewing area” on the roof.

Move it to where? Our subs will be running up and down the Bob Lord.
The other touchline from where they've pinched the space, maybe !!! Seems a crazy idea but fits nicely into the crazy rearrangements.

Why is it a worse view from one side to the other of the CFS? Genuine question as it’s the one stand I’ve not sat / stood in.
Sat on that side the season they knocked the bee hole and longside down. View isn’t that much different than the other side.

Ah yes. Makes sense now with that description and the picture. That’s actually a big positive for home fans in that stand then and a good use of dead space.

Looks like compulsory arrival by coach for our team then, which makes the player car park at the top of Harry Potts Way redundant and thus fresh for building on….

With the way the pitch lines up with the stand, if you currently sit in seat 5 and it’s in line with the touchline on the alongside side, seat 5 won’t be in line with the touchline on the BL side

Because the end block on the left hand side facing the pitch looks straight down the touchline but at the other side the last block is more to the right and looks down the front of the BL.
So people will have to turn their heads a couple of degrees for the same view?

I think a lot get club employees or family to drop their cars off at the ground so they can shoot off after the game

That sounds about right, aligns with the front of the BL stand. So a few more rows over.

The new ideas sound pretty cool, I think. The young ens will love the new entrance bits, and let’s be honest it’s those who this is aimed at. The balcony for added space to a horrible CFS concourse looks nice, have they already started on this work? Seems optimistic to get that done in 4 weeks?

People who previously didn't may have a restricted view of some parts of the pitch also - particularly thinking of the penalty area - given the relative position of the pillars holding up the roof

Either there’s a mistake in here, which wouldn’t be a surprise given how sloppy they are, or they are deliberately creating chaos.

‘Away supporters will enter via the Northeast corner’. Isn’t this between the Jimmy Mac and the Longside?
Yes, that's the north east corner - you would think they'd get things like that right wouldn't you?

The FAB is useless.

The supporters groups need to come together and issue a vote of no confidence in it. Probably can’t include the Trust in that cos the lad that runs it is also a nodding dog on the FAB.

That is the corner the players will now enter the stadium, then walk along the front of the Longside to the “current entrance” where the away fans will now be

It will be interesting to see what the local residents will have to say about the application - particularly a terrace looking into the houses across Harry Potts Way and the apparent huge new LED screens lighting up the night and directly facing properties in up to 3 directions

I just do not see how this can be rushed through and expect quite the kick-back if there has (as it seems - could be wrong) been no consultation

After listening to the podcast I fear the independent supporters trust will be no better. Far too nice, need to be more militant. Praising the club for fan engagement and not calling out the bullsh’t on a platform the club hierarchy wont listen to doesn’t bode well.

Correction, the next 7 days per this sentence on the club's website,

'Season Ticket holders in the Barnfield Stand affected by these changes will be contacted directly by the club by August 4th'.

Wonder what the players families will reckon to being close to the away end, no big deal compared to our fans getting shifted at short notice mind.

Can't help but feel the club are trying to polish a turd. The Bob Lord and Cricket Field need far more updating than a few shiny TV screens, flags and another add on. I guess it's better than nothing but seems again, we are kicking the can down the road.

Do we know the current capacities of the present Home and Away sections of the Cricket Field ? Im assuming more rail seating and moving the divide will be required to get the " new" Away section up to 10% of capacity ?

It's the manager who decides whether the players arrive by coach or they can just drive in individually.
So theoretically if Parker goes mid season and is replaced by a manager who doesn't make the players arrive by coach then that's those plans down the pan.

Yep, and I imagine these new additions make any redevelopment more complicated. I just don’t think there is any appetite to redevelop the CFS and to a lesser extent the BL.

As someone who will be affected by this, the immediate answer is we don't know. We haven't been consulted and therefore don't know where our new seat will be.

If they 'mirror' the seat numbers (as that seems to be the only option now that tickets have been sold) then the view will be worse; that much we do know. This is due to the positioning of the CFS which isn't centrally aligned with the pitch.

Apologies if it’s been mentioned previously on this thread. I didn’t want to read all the messages to ask, whether families and people who have sat together, will be given random seats, or will the Club have considered a way of keeping them sat next to each other?.

That would require consultation with stakeholders. Not something the club seems very keen on...

It's the manager who decides whether the players arrive by coach or they can just drive in individually.
So theoretically if Parker goes mid season and is replaced by a manager who doesn't make the players arrive by coach then that's those plans down the pan.
If they do arrive by coach most of them have someone park their cars at the ground anyway for after the game.

I thought the routine was for them to stay at the Crow Wood and get a coach in from there - seened to be established under Kompany and kept on

The seating plan in the stand won’t be symmetrical either so I’m pretty certain there will be some people whose groups will be split by a stair if they decide to just mirror the seating arrangement.

I've been speaking to a family member tonight who has no idea that this is happening and is now quite anxious as he chose his seat many years ago after conversation with a lady in the ticket office. He has it right next to the gangway so he doesn't get caught up in large crowd movement which would be a problem.

Simply 'mirroring' is not acceptable unless there are exactly the same number of seats in the blocks on either end.
