He will comfortably be better than both in his prime.

People can say last season was in the Championship all they want, but all the records he broke were played in the same league so there must still be something special about it.
He was fantastic last season, but we also have him that platform to succeed with the way in which we defended.

As soon as we lost the ball we had 11 men behind it, and the chances we did concede to teams tended to be (for the most part), quarter chances at best.

The system suited Trafford and Trafford suited the system. Different abilities needed at City — I have no doubt that he will be good at saving those breakaway chances that they tend to let up (due to their high line/style of play), but I don't think he has the ability to play through a press against top teams, and doesn't have that accurate long ball to pick a player out medium-long range... but we'll see!

Think he'd have suited Newcastle's team/style to a tee.

We did give him a platform to succeed but he also still had a very high save percentage and an incredible goals prevented stat.

I think City was the right move for him and he’ll excel there long term.

He certainly did and what impressed me the most was his concentration to come up big in one-off moments, after long periods of not having to do much (sign of a good keeper).

I'm just saying that it's 'easier' to pull off saves when the team effectively blocks out large parts of the goal in front of you, and he will be required to play as a sweeper more often for City, which is incredibly tough to do.
