The state of Manchester United
Apparently willing to see Hojlund for £30m.
That's fairly telling. To openly quote that figure firstly and if they do get that for him it will represent a loss of £43m.

Re: The state of Manchester United
I still think there's a good striker in Hojlund. Maybe he wasn't ready for being the main striker at a big club with a lot of other issues but he has the physicality, the workrate and the movement to come good yet. £30m could seem turn into a bargain for somebody with today's prices.

I tend to agree with you, Bacchus. It was the wrong club at the wrong time. He needed to play another season in Italy IMHO and, above all, avoid a club like United.Bacchus wrote: ↑Sun Aug 03, 2025 12:37 pmI still think there's a good striker in Hojlund. Who on Earth recruits for Manure? Anthony bought for silly money and loaned. Ditto Sanco.Rashford loaned out despite bring one of their better players as is Garnacho.

Re: The state of Manchester United
Not only that- who tells em to get rid of players? McTominay was consistently their best player whilst there, maybe Fernandes apart. They get shut, he goes to Napoli, they win Seria A and he’s voted MVP. Utter madness. Basket case of a club. Long may it continue.Woodleyclaret wrote: ↑Sun Aug 03, 2025 2:11 pmWho on Earth recruits for Manure? Anthony bought for silly money and loaned. They still get more than their fair share of penalties. The one they got tonight was a joke!

Scott is a great lad, but was below the standard required and blocking younger players deployment.Claretitus wrote: ↑Sun Aug 03, 2025 10:37 pmNot only that- who tells em to get rid of players? I’ve long been suggesting him on here as a loan move in the event of promotion. He ticks a lot of boxes in cm.

He doesn't look good enough for an elite club but he scored 1 in 3 both in Serie A and in the PL and he's only 22. He also scored 1 in 2 in Austria.
Re: The state of Manchester United
Scott McT is an excellent, high class player - as proven for Scotland, MU and Napoli. He was only absent from MU because of their perpetual change of manager and revolving transfer of players, whilst they satisfy the latest excuse maker in charge.

This is definitely Coo and not Coolclaret.
McTominay has just had an incredible season winning one of the toughest leagues in the world. And Man Utd came 15th.

I have a sneaky feeling that Man U will be much stronger this season…….

Let's hope Amorim pushes a few hundred million more down the khazi before he inevitably gets the bullet.

Once upon a time when a player like Isac became available he would be training at Carrington before you could say 'Denis Laws Backheel'.

No idea what's gone on but Amorim has hinted that it is attitude and not ability with all 4 of them. He doesn't want them anywhere near his 1st team squad.Woodleyclaret wrote: ↑Sun Aug 03, 2025 2:11 pmWho on Earth recruits for Manure? Anthony bought for silly money and loaned. Re: The state of Manchester United
I thought McTominay was a good player, easily good enough to have stayed at United.
They value the wrong things over there in my opinion. Everyone from the players, the owners, the manager have been blamed, it's the whole culture at the club.

Quite right too. He’s been outstanding this season.
