Why does it prioritise those who can go to every away game and not those who can make some but not all away games?
Because the more games you go to the more loyalty points you earn.

Not sure how many hospitality season ticket holders we have this season - you’d think it’s at least 500.
They are allowed to purchase 4 tickets per away game.

You would think that’s going to take a pretty significant chunk of our away allocations this season.
Whilst you could argue that it’s fair enough them getting priority for an away ticket with the money they are putting into the club not sure why they are allowed to get 4. I’m assuming the other 3 they can get don’t have to be hospitality season ticket holders.
For the Spurs game around 400 ticket had hone before they went on sale at 2000 points.

And it still didn't sell out at 2000pts, granted not by many, but some went on sale at the 2nd points sale day.

I think a lot of the hospitality season ticket holders don’t actually realise the 4 away ticket thing. It’s kind of hidden in the contracts
In fact maybe I shouldn’t be posting this !

If 400 tickets had gone before they went on sale to STs >2,000 pts, then my guestimate would be:

1) hospitality season ticket holders;
2) players/other club officials tickets - friends and family;
3) premium members.

But, that number appears high. Premium members - from stated above - are limited to 5% of allocation. 5% of 2,000 = 100 tickets.

Interesting question to ask the club about ticket allocation numbers. I wonder if the player comps are included in the ticket allocation count, similarly, directors and families - OR, as those tickets are not put on sale are not part of the allocation stated.

Isn't the problem with the membership as much to do with the fact that people who don't even support Burnley can get tickets in the home end without any effort before those who support BFC?

In theory why should a Liverpool fan get a ticket before a season ticket holder?

Sorry misread hospitality and assuming led still on memberships

Either way being able to get multiple tickets under a “single” purchase is ridiculous imo

Amazingly people are willing to pay that to watch big clubs if it's the only way they can get a ticket

I don't know how true it is, I wasn't there, but it's been said on this board that there have been home fans in our end at most London games. They won't have paid 30 quid.

The only game I've seen it at was at Arsenal but I think most of them were tourists, not home fans. Maybe some of our fans think that anyone at an away game who doesn't have a Lancashire accent must be a home fan! ;)

I did more than my fair share of traipsing around the lower leagues watching Burnley, now no longer live in Burnley and due to work and family commitments can no longer justify a season ticket or get to a requisite number of games overall to get to the right level of points needed to even be in the queue. Should this mean I stand no chance of getting to a game? Situations are different, and I don't think anyone should feel they have an absolute right to attend, but some ability to have a chance is nice.
I also had an ST during the dark days. My lads are 11 and 13. I take them all over the country watching Burnley whenever I can (work) or can afford.
They also have season tickets and have now well over 2k points. Should they miss out?

Sorry for those who don't live in Lancs and don't have season tickets..... but surely you can see my POV with paying £150 and potentially getting tickets before others who have had season tickets continuously for 30+ years?

Family of 4 trip to London away day (train included) is never less than £200.

The board incentivising fans against each other...... not sure I agree with it.

Not looking for a row, but before the premium membership tax, it was widely accepted that if you didnt have an ST you didnt get first shout at tickets.

It is a good job we aren't a club where every game has too much demand and everyone goes into a ballot for every away game.

The divine right to go to an away game displayed at times comes across me me me. Can you imagine the meltdowns if we had thousands applying for the available tickets every game.

Personally for me I wouldn't have this membership scheme, mainly due to the possibility of re-sellers buying them. Maybe if we have to have them then a condition is you must have previously had a season ticket to be able to purchase one.

If you search on Seatpic you can see they have tickets for all over the ground for the Liverpool game. Top price £170.

Not sure just how they supposedly have them in the home section of the CFS, as most of our fans in there don't know their seats yet!

I'd take these sites with a pinch of salt. For the Lazio game they're showing tickets in 2 parts of the ground that aren't even open!

Not sure what the £150 membership offers you but some of the sites offering tickets for our home games at premium prices. How reliable these are I don't know, but if it's possible to pay our club £150 to get a ticket for say Liverpool at home and then to sell them on (illegal I know)
It looks like some "providers" can make a profit - if people are mad enough to watch the game at any price.
Here's another example. With "service charges" of over £100 on top of the £375 making it close to £500 to sit in the Bob Lord.

Claiming an unrestricted view in the Bob Lord Stand is questionable. There's likelihood of a post being somewhere within view. As previously said I'd be dubious that they even have these tickets

It does in a way Peter, you need to keep up attending games so that when your points drop off you still stay in the top (2000+ bracket).

We've spent a bomb watching Burnley all over, and I wouldn't want a penny of it back, but the membership scheme circumvents loyalty and is open to exploitation.

As I said above... a family of 4 away day certainly London will set me back over £200, even using rail card etc.

Three less of those per season would cover the £600 membership for all four of us. I don't agree with the membership so will still go to Fulham, Brentford and Arsenal and possibly Chelsea.

That would just be cutting my nose off to spite my face.

It just doesn't seem right to me, no matter the time, effort and previously invested funds, if your pockets are deeper you are immediately a more valued customer....... even if you only purchase a membership for one season.

But you are already a more valued member if your pockets are deeper because not everyone can afford to take a family of four to every away game and therefore collect the loyalty points on offer.

As for time and effort, this argument doesn’t stack up to me. People who follow Burnley across the country don’t do it for altruistic reasons, they do it because they enjoy travelling to watch the team.

Trust me, there is a lot of sacrifice in that lot Riley. Me and the Mrs both drive cars that are over 10 years old for instance.

Just family days out watching the Clarets are important to us. I work a lot additional hours also - yes I'm fortunate to be able to do that, but it is bloody hard work I can assure you.

I don’t doubt it. But what I mean is you’re making that sacrifice to benefit yourselves, no one else. You presumably enjoy following Burnley home and away and that’s why you do it. It would be like me saying I sacrifice having an old car in order to be able to go on multiple holidays every year.

I got the International one for myself, as I live in Ireland. They still haven’t sent the ‘Welcome Pack’ with digital card and info to get 10% off in the club-shop.
It’s pretty poor, really.

10% at club shop? Season ticket holders now receive up to 5% worth of points where they used to receive a 10% discount.

I think I’m right in saying that. (Just checked, all memberships get 10% off).

Truth be told, it’s €15 to deliver and then another €20 in import tax to receive anything now, so still incredibly expensive.

Yes, but you said 'if your pockets are deeper you are immediately a more valued customer', and the point I keep making is that to accrue the loyalty points needed to be in the top bracket you already need deeper pockets than others as you need to buy a season ticket and attend numerous away games. It would be similar to a non-season ticket holder complaining that the current loyalty points system makes season ticket holders more valued customers.

I had to buy 3 home shirts, so I queried where my advertised discount was. I was told it wouldn't be active until August but they were happy to refund 10% of my order, which they did.

The email says the discount code is ‘Now Live’. They’re really not doing a great job and I’ll probably leave the order now, tbh.

Over a number of years I have paid for tickets to receive a service ie watching Burnley. This has been my choice, which I have no quibble about. In exchange for this loyalty I was awarded thousands of loyalty points.

So someone can spend thousands building up loyalty points and someone can spend £150 and get first refusal on tickets. Surely this isn't that hard to grasp?

I haven't got £600 lying around just to purchase memberships on top of season tickets and away days for membership..... but if I had deeper pockets............Are you with me yet?

"It would be similar to a non-season ticket holder complaining that the current loyalty points system makes season ticket holders more valued customers."

Do you remember the days before loyalty points back in the 90s where for big games you had to queue up down past the Bob Lord Stand for tickets? You used to need a season ticket back then for tickets also. Surely you don't think non-season ticket holders should get tickets before season ticket holders?

A friend who is a member has managed to obtain a ticket for the Liverpool game but wants 3 more for family, particularly for her mum as a birthday prezzie.
She's has asked me if I could possibly get the other three for her with me being a season ticket holder.
I told her it would be extremely doubtful and I'm just wondering if that would be the case?
