He’s wasn’t making the bench last season once Walton was fit

Shocked at how poor Ipswich have been - looks like one of their PL outings from last season.

Birmingham want docking points for still doing the “WHO” thing at opponents subs.

Ipswich have been poor, Jack Clarke really is an overrated showpony im glad the rumours around us signing him a few seasons ago never materialised, O'Shea will already planning his next move to Sunderland .

I wonder what some of our players who were around 12 months ago think about him being made captain at another club.
Hands up this suggests something new to me. What happened?

Yeah, I mean they've invested in the squad but it's hardly big names.

Like this chap, Keshi Anderson is 30 and has hardly been prolific nor been a Champ stalwart... looks a top champ player on tonight's showing though.

They just look incredibly well coached — Maybe they have a top manager?

Ipswich need to spend the Hutchinson money wisely when he’s sold. Desperately missing any spark in attack tonight

Harsh but similar to the one we got against Swansea last season.

Very harsh. Your arms go up when you jump and that’s come at him from a yard away.

Whether it was a pen or not, he actually did well to spot that.

For him.

Very harsh and extremely undeserved for Ipswich. They’ve been really poor.

I must be one of the few on this message board that favours VAR
That was a shocking decision and am sure VAR would have ruled that out

He's been atrocious all game this ref. Started by giving 3 or 4 very soft free kicks in the first 5 and lost control from there.

I've said before, football has gone daft, when something like that is a penalty.
Pathetic.

Kitchen getting the ‘you’re not fit to referee’ on day 1.

Means he’ll get a big derby next week!

Nah. VAR would have backed him. They’d have said it could be argued that his arms were in an unnatural position.

I wouldn’t agree with it, but that’s what VAR would do.

I think that's a terrible decision personally, I'm not even sure it was a yard away, the player heads it on to his arm which was already moving back down after his jump.

How does Kitchen keep getting away with it?

It's just an awful decision. How does he get out of the way from half a yard? Kitchen is so far out of his depth he should ref wearing arm bands.

Thought Ipswich would get back into it when they threw the Kitchen sink at it.

I find this guy infuriating. No way was that a pen, no real unnatural position, header straight at him.

No doubt he’ll get a Premier League game imminently, probably one of ours.

Clinton Morrison says he thinks the ref got it right. 100% confirmation that it was a shocking decision.

You already know Birmingham are going to have the most 'fan" arrests this season looking at the total head loss they suffered from there

Not convinced VAR would have allowed that particularly with the scrutiny they now get from Carager Neville and other pundits

But on a totally different angle that game shows how incredible we were to lose just two games last season in this division

July 25th rumour
following relegation to the Championship, Fussball Transfers - a German news outlet with more than 15,000 followers on X - have claimed that Sassuolo have submitted a bid for Muric following their promotion to Serie A.

The report adds that Ligue 1 outfit AS Monaco are also 'keen' on the 26-year-old, who is 'open to a move' away from Suffolk.

I switched over after half an hour, the ref was completely ruining the game being determined to give a free kick for absolutely everything, awful.
