Is it pronounced 'Bro-ja' or 'Bro-ya'? I've heard both used...

Oh, and fantastic signing!

Really pleased with our transfer approach, this window.

A mixture of youth and experience, some potentially exciting prospects and targeting key areas.

I’ve lost count of the number of previous windows when, despite decent signings, there has always looked to be a glaring void in one area of the pitch or other (usually, but not always, midfield).

This time, it looks so much better.

Now, if we can clear out some of those less likely to challenge for a squad place and perhaps, being greedy, add a couple of decent loans, we’ve a chance.

Credit where it’s due, I’m chuffed with our business.
Yep, I agree with your statement wholeheartedly! I don’t mind admitting that I have been critical of Parker last season, but I also don’t mind admitting that this preseason feels a whole lot better than two years ago when VK was doing whatever the chuff he was doing!?
Every signing so far comes with experience at this higher level which ought to stand us in good stead. No doubt there will be tough weekends where we get thumped, but if we can win 10-12 games………..

What's happened to those in the transfer thread adamant he'd failed his medical because signings "never drag on this long"?

Hi CoolClaret,

It's pronounced "Bro-ya".

This site (linked) is fantastic for the pronunciation of names.

Most transfers take time, the only difference is at what stage it gets leaked

You're welcome, CoolClaret!

I discovered it a few years ago. Fantastic site. You can find a very large number of footballers' names pronounced and all by native speakers.

The one thing I would say is that as AB is second-generation Albanian, he might not pronounce his name as his parents do i.e. it might be more anglicised.

A good example is the actor Jake Gyllenhaal. He pronounces his surname in a very different way to that of his ancestors simply to make it more comprehensible for other Americans.

The signing of Broja may give Flemming the opportunity to play more of a link role this season instead of being the main striker. I believe that is where his main strength lies. Coming back from a minor injury so maybe we'll get the chance to see soon. I'm hoping.

Hi Elizabeth,

I agree with you. I like Zian and think he has the potential to surprise one or two people if he plays just behind a number nine. That will depend, of course, on whether SP changes his system.
