Just watching Southampton v Wrexham and wondered why Jay wasnt in the Wrexham squad.
Quick check and hes got a stress fracture in his ankle and was playing last season having injections to ease the pain. Needs an operation now and a spell on the sidelines.

Thought it was probably an injury when I noticed he wasn't even on the bench.

JAY RODRIGUEZ INJURY UPDATE.
Parkinson revealed in his latest interview that Rodriguez had been playing with an injury in the final few games of last season.
On his return to pre-season training, Rodriguez was still feeling the effects of the injury, and it was found to be a ‘stressed fracture, so he’s in a boot for a couple of weeks’ and will be assessed once ready.
