Re: Today's Football
We didn’t ship two in 4600 minutes, Blades have managed it in 30.
Perfect example of why we went up and they did not.

I love it, I'll likely watch far more Championship games than Prem games - I detest VAR

Re: Today's Football
Interesting to see how Westley does today. The manager has bee talking him up -
"[Joe] Westley has impressed this week. He'll bring some good energy, he's our goal scoring player and we're excited to have him involved today. He's only 20 but he could be a real asset for this club."

Riis is a very good signing for Bristol City.

Just seen McCrories goal again and, without the wonderful build up, wasn’t it just Pele to Carlos Alberto in the 1970 World Cup Final.

Re: Today's Football
I'd be v concerned if I was a Sheff U fan, considering how easily they dispatched Brizzle in the playoffs last season.

Re: Today's Football
It's been a great game, probably more because I enjoy watching Sheff Utd implode.
Brizzle had a great season last year, and then went missing in the play offs. The change in fortunes, and the uncertainty, make this the best league in the world.

Wilder will be laughing at this, not long since they battered them in the play offs

Re: Today's Football
Rangers down to 10 men, Westley clear through from half way line and the defender tripped him from behind.

Re: Today's Football
The No 3 for Sheff Utd playing RB, McCallum is positively the worst defender I have seen in a very long time. All over the place and keeps giving the ball away

Re: Today's Football
how do the lino and ref miss that as a pen for Bristol ?
Re: Today's Football
Sorry. It does say today's football

Re: Today's Football
Twine 2 plus assist. Bristol Titty very clinical but could have had 6.
Re: Today's Football
Rangers get last min pen when player trips himself up.

Re: Today's Football
He might be a Blade but I've seen enough interviews to more than suggest he didn't agree with his sacking - he will be laughing at the owners for sure. Was it 6-0 on aggregate in the play offs a few months ago and that was generous on Bristol. I'm actually surprised he isn't already in work

Re: Today's Football
Not agreeing with his sacking, and I would support him in that given who they've replaced him with, is one thing but he won't want to see Sheffield United losing like that.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Sat Aug 09, 2025 7:51 pmHe might be a Blade but I've seen enough interviews to more than suggest he didn't agree with his sacking - he will be laughing at the owners for sure. Re: Today's Football
Yeah, my reference was towards the owners and I didn't make that clear. They've lost a lot of good players too, on the flip side Bristol played well.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Sat Aug 09, 2025 7:54 pmNot agreeing with his sacking, and I would support him in that given who they've replaced him with, is one thing but he won't want to see Sheffield United losing like that.

Re: Today's Football
Sheff U had just equalised when I got home and looked the better side but then went behind again. Once Bristol City started that second half in the way they did there was no way back.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Sat Aug 09, 2025 8:01 pmYeah, my reference was towards the owners and I didn't make that clear.
