G0foste, good luck, wicked combination to start both at the same time.

Pearcey, I'm a little bit down today, don't know if it's guilt, or because I made the mistake of jumping on the scales last night. Anyway lessons learned.

Don’t forget to be kind to yourself. Progress is very rarely linear :)

If the scales are being ruder than I would like, I try to remind myself that it’s not just about the number - it’s about getting healthier. For example, my cholesterol level has gone right down. It took a long time but it is getting there.

Also fewer people overtaking me on my walk back from the match :D

Don’t beat yourself up mate, we’re all human. I bet in the past when you did that, it lasted more than one day. If you’re back in the game today then that’s what it’s all about. I’ve got my Stag do next Saturday, we’re allowed days off.

This is what i did, and now been off since feb and managing to keep it off, still calorie counting(1800 ish and day)
You'll do great and keep it off if you start the gym aswell. I only do 45 mins cardio 3 times a week

I’ve been unable to do much cardio for the first 3 days after the jab due to side effects. Missing the cycling! Try to make up for it for the second half of the week.

Looks like there a massive price hike from the 1st Sep. Get your orders in before it becomes unaffordable.

From 16-7 to 15-2 in 8 weeks.

19lb loss in 8 weeks, steady away, just how I like it.
Next week will present a different challenge. Family week away in a caravan in North Wales, Mon to Fri. I'm hoping for more walking and fresh sea air.
Not sure how the food and drink aspect will pan out. Club nights, suppers, drinks. I'll be more than happy with weighing in, at the same weight, next Saturday.

Good luck everyone.

Had my stag do yesterday and it’s the first time I’ve drank since I’ve been on it. Nursed two pints down then went on shorts. Struggled to drink to be honest. Had scrambled egg on dry toast before I went out and didn’t eat anything else all day. One of my mates bought a pizza to share in one pub and I couldn’t face having a piece.
Enjoy your break DC and enjoy all it has to offer.

Week 3 completed, loss 18.5 lbs
You have to work at this, 1700 cal a day 140 protein, but I find if I stick to the program it gives result.
No side effects.

Hope everyone is keeping positive with no worrying side effects.
As predicted, my 5 days away meant that I basically had 'a week off', going up 2 pounds, but a week later, I'm back on track.
Starting week 16-7, I've just broken through the 15 stone barrier, weighing in this morning at 14-13.
Getting closer to my first real target of 14-6, as 14-7 was my dart throwing and pool playing weight for something like 30 years.
Final target is 12-7, which has always been my recommended weight for my height.

Summary,
Starting at 16-7
Currently at 14-13
Weight loss 22lbs in 10 weeks.
Decided to leave the gym/Tai Chi until I've dropped a few more pounds.

The US claiming its hiking prices to make it more affordable for US citizens is laughable when you look at Insulin costs and that was given to humanity for free

Indeed. Pretty sure they won’t cut the costs out there either. So many in the US can’t afford the insurance. Sad state of affairs. Could be us soon!

Asda’s new prices are out. I don’t remember all the prices but 2.5mg was previously £128.98 (now up 31%) and 5mg was £143.48 (now up 39%).

I’ve just paid £160 from Asda for 10mg. Big jump but I’ve got what I need now. Was only a kickstart ahead of my wedding. Back to getting my head down after. If I fail then I’ll either try Wegovy or stump up the cash.

Asda have kicked me off now. It's fair enough I'm now on the under weight border line.

Quite glad looking at the new prices

I looked to order a pen from Asda yesterday with the slim hope the price would be the pre 1st September price. They’ve upped theirs already. Happy to pack in to be fair. Hoping to lose another 1.5 stone in the next 10 weeks with what I have left.

Both of us straight onto wegovy

She didn't want rapid weight loss, gradually was her preference

I've already lost 3 stone since Feb last year, but I've plateaued, so just needed an extra prod along but again not a rapid loss

I've ordered my wegovy through chequp was really simple and got £50 off first order so only worked out at £38.99 for my first pen, the mounjoro would have been £143

They've given me some referral codes to for any first time users of chequp as well so if anyone wants one just say and I'll send. You'll get £50 off first order. Can be used on mounjaro and wegovy

Question as I'm curious. How do these pens affect your metabolism? If your appetite is being suppressed, you eat less and your metabolism drops accordingly. Does this not affect your weight loss also? Ie slows it down?

OK, update for my fellow users. (Do we need a group name?)

As I have mentioned previously, I am on a clinical trial, 5 years.
Lucky me , as far as finances are concerned.

However, tomorrow is crunch time.
I started 11 weeks ago this com8ng weekend, 4 weeks on 3mg, followed by 8 weeks on 7mg.
Today my next 6 months of meds arrived, which I have to start tomorrow, @ 14mg.

The thing is I know that up until now, I've been on Semaglutide/Ozempic/Wegovy.
From tomorrow I will be continuing, but don't know if it is a placebo or not.

Interesting times ahead.

Half the participants stay on the medication and half are put on the placebo. No-one is informed as to what they are on, but I'm expecting to work it out.

First 4 weeks at 3mg, loss of 9lbs (2.25lbs per week)
Next 6 weeks at 7mg, loss of 15lbs (2.5lbs per week)

A lot of Retatrutide doing the rounds in Burnley at the minute - lot of people seem to be taking these jabs as an alternative (Cheaper with potentially better results)

I suppose it was always going to happen when Elli Lilly raised their prices so much. The only thing to do now is wait and see what side effect the people who have switched to the unregulated Retatrutide develop.

One of the lads selling it i know (£80 for course) - is posting his results and he seems to be doing very well on it
Me personally - could never jab myself with anything
All about eating clean and the exercise to go with it
