City looking at signing Gianluigi Donnarumma
Just seen Gianluigi Donnarumma is now being linked with Man City by a few of the big City social media accounts.
Penny for Trafford’s thoughts if they sign the Italian. You’d imagine it would end any hope of him being their no1 in the next year or two.

Something seems to have advanced in the last 24 hours, he’s now odds on to join city.
Only 26 as well, could easily have another 10 years at the top.

Trafford to Burnley on loan lol
Re: City looking at signing Gianluigi Donnarumma
Trafford's gone for the packet
If they do sign Donnarumma, which is looking likely - there's no way he's not going to be NO 1 - He's just as good as Ederson
He must be miffed if it does happen, as he could be a prem 1st choice in 17 or so of the other sides

Strange goings on if it happens, but I wonder if City’s ‘interest’ is just agent talk.
Re: City looking at signing Gianluigi Donnarumma
There was no way Trafford was going to be first choice keeper at City this season.

Re: City looking at signing Gianluigi Donnarumma
Donnarumma signing would probably prompt ederson out the door so no change really, Traff will be fully aware and continue his development as number two for a year or two.

Donnarumma is only 26, don't see it being a year or two he'd wait.Holtyclaret wrote: ↑Tue Aug 12, 2025 4:44 pmDonnarumma signing would probably prompt ederson out the door so no change really, Traff will be fully aware and continue his development as number two for a year or two.
Re: City looking at signing Gianluigi Donnarumma
Donnarumma is only 26 compared to Ederson who is 31. Donnarumma could be the number 1 there for the next 5-8 years.Holtyclaret wrote: ↑Tue Aug 12, 2025 4:44 pmDonnarumma signing would probably prompt ederson out the door so no change really, Traff will be fully aware and continue his development as number two for a year or two.

I’m going to guess at a bit of shithousing form city to jump the price up for United to sign him

I suppose they’ll be desperate to win every trophy and attempt to re-establish their dominance, so Trafford will still feature regularly I would imagine.

Re: City looking at signing Gianluigi Donnarumma
City’s plan is to bring Traff on over a couple of years under an experienced keeper. Newcastle were going to do the same with Traff and Pope. Donnarumma is there to hold the fort until Traff is ready.
When that time comes who knows.

Re: City looking at signing Gianluigi Donnarumma
go to a big club, expect big players.
Re: City looking at signing Gianluigi Donnarumma
Really odd. Guardiola insists on keepers who can pass a ball. Donnarumma's one major weakness is...his passing.
Re: City looking at signing Gianluigi Donnarumma
One thing for sure, Traffs will back himself to become number 1 eventually. He won't mind Donnarumma being signed.

Re: City looking at signing Gianluigi Donnarumma
I’ve read reports suggesting Guardiola will be changing City’s formula quite a bit next season; much more direct, to counter the passing style that has become the norm and he feels they need something new as other clubs learn to counter his tactics.
Re: City looking at signing Gianluigi Donnarumma
Trafford is overrated IMHO. We would have been right at the top with Hdlaky in goal last year. The EFL is poor.
He was still flapping at crosses last year…although did improve from the year before.
If City want a title then Trafford is not the answer.
We did good business
