I liked Twiney, but he went down like he’d been shot on more than one occasion when we played Bristol City on the Turf last season.

That could be what he was being asked to do to be fair. I think the other night he looked to be filling out a bit. For me that was his big problem (beside the obvious layoff) when he was with us.

I thought he might have done himself a serious injury the way he went down when celebrating.

It didn’t look great that celebration… was lucky not to have done something serious.

Had a good game - looks like he’s maturing into a solid player at that level now.

We all knew what was going to happen when he stepped up to take the free kick. It won’t be long before some Managers put a stop to their players celebrating by sliding on their knees. I’m still amazed that Managers haven’t put a stop to players removing their shirt when scoring.

It’s a hell of a party trick his free kick taking. He must practice them for hours and hours.

Sorry, yesterday.
2 goals plus an assist, Bristol City start the season with a big win at Sheffield Utd.

Ones to keep an eye on are Brizzle City. Got in a wacky manager, but with great pedigree, and some good players. Were awful against us in both games, but got a decent squad for the Champ and attack well.

Not so sure they have the ability to dominate anyone. Too early. They were outplayed by Sheff U and took every sniff of a chance they had. That won't happen every week, will it?

I think Sheff Utd might struggle to make top 6 this season, bit of a mess for them atm

I always wince when players celebrate like that. I'm surprised more are not forbidden from doing it due to the potential injury risk

OGS did a knee slide after scoring the late winner for ManU in the Champions League Final, he felt something 'go' and it led to a succession of injuries that ended his career.

It's not popular with the ground staff either.

Interesting that he tends to score them from very similar positions into the same corner.

The two he got for us were both on the same side

Always thought he looked too lightweight, especially for the PL. I sometimes wonder if it’s worth having him for the free kicks alone though - he’s genuinely world class in that respect.

I’m afraid the answer to that is - no.
