Not a link so apologies for putting it in here.

But does anyone else think the blocks are falling into place for a tella return?

Leverkusen stocking up on players in that area, and seemingly we are moving a few out.

Can we keep this thread to actual links?

Absolutely nothing stopping someone starting a thread on Nathan Tella if they want to keep the fantasy going for another preseason.

I’d have Koleosho and Tresor over Brun Larsen, a bizarre signing when we already had an abundance of wide players.
That will be based on their PL goalscoring exploits, no doubt. :D

Disagree . Leading scorer last time in this league . Clever player . How much was it ..£4 million and he s 26 . Watching him and Sander Berg one of the few entertaining parts of that season.

If you'd asked all Burnley fans in December that season (when Koleosho got injured) who was the better winger and the more entertaining player between Koleosho and JBL the answers would have been pretty unanimous in saying Koleosho.

Couldn't see Koleosho scoring a goal like JBL did at Luton in a million years.

Maybe but that's because JBL only got a run starting in the 2nd half of the season.. coming off injury the previous season . Look at some of his goals that season ..reflects that he has good quality. He s a smarter player than Koleosho ..5 years older which may be part of the reason for this .

Brun Larsen can’t get regular football anywhere he goes, we needed quality and Brun Larsen is another quantity signing when the last thing we needed was bodies especially in forward areas.

Calling Koleosho one of our 'star players' is a stretch to say the least

Contributes pretty much nothing except pace although he is skilled at spectacularly not making a final pass.

Appreciate he is young, but he possibly one of the most frustrating players I have seen at Burnley in a while - He wouldn't be getting much game time in the top flight anyway at Burnley I suspect, so a loan deal should suit all parties.

Koleosho has had a frustrating last 18 months and still very raw for this level. He’s got potential, wouldn’t count as a squad place, and possesses the pace to be an asset on the break for a side that expects to be on the back foot most games this season.

However, he’s down the pecking order in a squad stacked with wingers, and for his confidence as much as his development, I think this is a good move for him. I suspect it’s been part of the early talks with Espanyol as a kind of ALK sweetener. Whether that benefits Burnley FC is open to debate and only time will tell.

If he gets his mojo back and does well, gets lots of gametime , experience and confidence it’s very much not to our financial detriment. If he’s not going to feature much this season having part of his wages paid than none is better too.

Absolutely agreed, I don't see any issue with it at all.
It can only really increase his value as much as anything else, so accounting wise, it's still helpful to us.

Anyone thinking Koleosho plays for us again or sells for what we would have got for him last summer if we loan him out this window is delusional.

Why would he want to play for us again? Turn down a PL move him and as soon as he signs a new deal, swap him to his weaker side, bench him and then ship him out on loan to the club he signed from in the first place. And why would anyone pay big money for him when we've made it clear we don't even value him enough to get on the bench in the PL?

Parker has turned a £20m player into someone we'd be lucky to get half that for now and someone we'll be paying to play for someone else in the meantime.

Here it is again.

Parker has turned Koleosho into a poor player now

It's a shame Parker focused on getting us back to the PL instead of playing Bauress and Koleosho every week.

Here it is again.

Parker has turned Koleosho into a poor player now

It's a shame Parker focused on getting us back to the PL instead of playing Bauress and Koleosho every week.
Who's decision was it to move Koleosho to his weaker flank? Who's decision to drop him? Who's decision to not use him this season despite having shown he was more than capable of playing PL football the last time we were at this level?

And who mentioned Bauress?

Guys, this thread has now been taken over by the same people who ruined the other transfer thread, and I full expect at some point for the MOD's to have no option but close this thread too due to certain posters who cant help but not follow the guidelines of the OP

"Summer 2025 BFC Transfer Window - Links and discussion on the Linked player only."

This Thread has been fine until the usual posters from the other thread started posting on here with no links, the discussing possibility of potential targets with no link and then the impact that could potentially happen which then goes down a black hole inviting everyone to do the same, to where today alone we have 1 poster replying with 4 separate slightly edited posts regarding the potential of Koleosho going to Espanyol again unlinked, and then Ben Mee going to Sheff UTD.

Please feel free to create new threads if you want to discuss anything rather than take this thread down. Please stick to the OP

This is a discussion on a player linked with a move, isn't it?

I think you well know that the thread is not for voicing your opinions on what position you think koleosho should be playing or your opinions on the manager.
Give it a rest.

Parker made the decisions that he thought were in the best interests of Burnley, do you not think getting promoted with 100 points validates the decisions he has made?

If Koleosho was good enough and offered what Parker wanted then he'd have played, it's that simple. Koleosho doesn't look the same player as he did pre-injury.

A fair assessment might be that the injury hampered his progress, a biased and silly view is that it's all Parkers fault.

We know which one you hold.
