Playing regularly and consistently at the top level would be my definition, but it's also possible to have a good career in the lower divisions if you have lesser ability.

Often overlooked with players like Luca is they get forward so quickly there is nobody to actually play the ball to as they are still lumbering along behind :D

I always found it amazing how willing some Burnley fans were to slate a lad who's still 20 now.

Most players that age are nowhere near a first team squad, never mind have done what he's done so far.

Its just the fickle nature of this board. Trafford, slated. Parker, slated.
When we were relegated and Wolves were sniffing around luca, many on here were going ballistic that we'd even contemplate selling such a great player. Now he's rubbish again. No nuance, no perspective of time, just all in or all out.

Good luck to him. Certainly showed real promise in his early days and a fresh start could be exactly what he needs.

Will be watching with interest.

Pele won the World Cup when he was 17.

If he does well there's not a chance of him coming back here but if he doesn't do well is price will drop and he will be back here , personally i would have liked to keep him as he's only 20 and he will get more space in the Premier league like last time we were in this league...

I love the idea that Pele is "most players"

If he's old enough to take the money he's old enough for a bit of flack when under par. Most men at that age are nowhere near earning that sort of money & probably get a harder time at work than some grounded reasonable criticism. They would kill with both hands to be in his shoes.

Well generally that's the whole idea when people want to push on in their chosen careers.
