You couldn't make it up: Brady on West Ham

Post by ecc » Sat Aug 23, 2025 1:53 pm

"West Ham is not a club that panics about its managers. We tend to stick with them, tend to support people, and see it through."

Those were the words of Hammers vice-chair Karren Brady following the 3-0 loss to newly promoted Sunderland in their Premier League opener.

Bilić: June 15 to Nov 17
Pellegrini: May 18 to Dec 19
Lopetegui: May 24 - Jan 25.
Potter: Jan 25 to Aug 25?

Not sure I've ever heard her say something that made sense.

That’s funny. On Saturday night I went to the Rivoli Ballroom in Brockley SE London for a Northern Soul night and who should be there but David Sullivan, one time pornographer, and still part owner of West Ham. If I’d known they were thinking of sacking Potter I would have asked him. For those NS fans amongst us he was deep in conversation with Kev Robert’s. I suspect it could be something to do with potentially buying the Rivoli as the owner of many years has just died. Clearly Sullivan has more important things on his mind than potting Potter😳

There's no way he'll last if they lose this weekend.

For my sins, one of my best friends supports them and he wants him gone. He also says they only have five decent players: Paqueta (on his day), Bowen, Wan-Bissaka, Diouf and, potentially, Potts.

"We've got four CBs who can't defend and three below-standard keepers."

I haven't seen there games but, as we all know, if the whole team fails to defend, the blokes at the back will struggle. Paqueta will undoubtedly have his mind elsewhere and wouldn't be surprised to see him gone by this time next week.
