Banel ….(sp)

Post by bobinho » Tue Aug 26, 2025 10:21 pm

Where has he come from??? So direct, so quick it’s almost obscene. His acceleration is a whole other level. There’s top quality PL defenders who will be utterly bamboozled with him running at them.

Thought he and the other subs made the difference tonight. Shows promise for sure.

Seen him twice before tonight and looked poor on both occasions. However tonight looked like he's bulked up, and I was especially impressed with him, yes he needs a loan but I'd be happy to see him get more game time with us, hopefully we can have good cup runs and he'll no doubt get it.

He looks a threat.
Raw talent, clearly lots of work going on with him.

I honestly think he could be a surprise package for us this season.

He’s clearly got dribbling ability and is rapid. With our counter attacking style I can certainly see why Banel and Tchouna have been brought in. They suit this style down to a tee.

Said in the match thread he was impressing me. He came on and played with real urgency but looked like his decision making was correct to, could be useful this season but you really do think for how development he needs to go out on loan

Showed an Anthony-esque first touch before getting a shot away in that second half too. Looks a promising player!

A loan would be good for him, but only in the Championship, he'll learn nothing in league 1.
If we can't find him a decent club I'd rather see him on the bench. Players coming on who have real pace are always a threat.

Maybe he's the reason we were happy to let Koleosho out on loan.

Looked bright! Hard to see him breaking into a PL squad with the options we already have there, and his lack of first team football, so a loan might be worthwhile.

Looked great tonight. Exciting. Why loan him out. Don't we want to see him. Arsenal and Liverpool are playing young lads.

Spot on looked good last night.Edwards was disappointing maybe Banel could replace him as sub .Against Liverpool particularly that Donkey Konate we have several players capable of unlocking Liverpools defence

Very impressed when he can on. Surreal first touch and I for one would like to see him get more minutes for us with the first team.

I actually thought he looked good in his little cameo at Preston in the FC cup debacle when pretty much everyone else was rubbish.

He looked an absolute superstar tbh . Sure it was 30 ? Mins against a tiring champ defence , though his speed , trickery (is he also 2 footed) was very pleasing . Everything Koleosho isn’t .

Aliadiere didn’t win the league cup or Fa cup.

David May didn’t win the league cup.
