Thanks, that worked. Very interesting.
I wish someone had looked after me like that when I left my home town for work

It would be good if you could actually cast it to your tv without having to sign up.

Re: Keeping The faith
Enjoyed that thanks
, its hardly a groundbreaking watch buy it doesn't have to be does it!. But as a Burnley fan I can't understand why ANYONE would have a moan about getting to see more of the behind the scenes and character of the team/club..........unless there's an agenda of course. #dinosaurs #smalltownmentality

Re: Keeping The faith
Not sure what folk are expecting from this?
It’s great to see what some of the players are like off the pitch and In this case, to see how the club look after and help the players beyond the footballing side of the game.
Can only be encouraging for future targets to see the players being cared for.
It’s not meant to be a Hollywood film, it’s following Burnley , a small club in Premier League terms, showcasing snippets that fans would never usually see .
I like it.

For me, I was expecting us to tap in more to the big clubs we’re playing now and show more behind-the-scenes content from the big away days to draw in fans of opposition teams who have more global followings. All this stuff gets liked and shared so I thought we’d be trying to hook in to the more global audience X offers to attract the foreign “unattached” fans looking for a story to follow.
As a Burnley fan, I’d prefer to watch Loum’s flat viewings, but I expected the club to be more interested in trying to grow the profile of the club (I can’t see any other fans being interested in that episode).
Then as a Burnley fan, I’d be a lot more interested in the pre-season preparations (like how they agree budgets, identify players, how deadline day pans out, etc) than the flat viewings.
All that said, I enjoyed it. Just wasn’t what I expected.

Makes me laugh when people moan about X as though it is the spawn of the devil, whilst on the other hand consuming product every day, and buying products from these companies:
Google
Youtube (owned by google)
Apple
Microsoft
All who have done far far worse than twitter (or X) ever will.

Re: Keeping The faith
Just watched this now , perfectly harmless puff piece almost like an OK magazine shoot in video format. “ at home with Ash” “ house viewings with Louma “ even a happy smiley fashion shoot with the players ! All anchored by father figure Parker’s homely ( but entirely natural ) words of comfort .
I was half expecting Scotty to break out a bag of Werthers original .
About as cutting and incisive as a John Lewis Xmas ad , but as a Claret I enjoyed it .

Re: Keeping The faith
Sad that isn't it!, its becoming more and more evident that certain sections of the "old guard" are STILL petrified of change. I'm no spring chicken myself but I don't find myself yearning for the "good old days" of pigs bladder footballs, pit boots and flat caps as the kit with the much loved hooped socks.

Re: Keeping The faith
A great insight into the working and family lives of our squad and manager.
Just as an aside , I can understand why for some they may not want to see that. Most certainly the ones struggling with the progression of football and our club. I think it's unfair to describe it as an agenda although it can be tedious

I'm not youngster either, and i get the change, and I've been critical of some of the things brought in by the club, but other things are good, its called having a balanced viewlouieollie wrote: ↑Sat Sep 13, 2025 10:42 amSad that isn't it!, its becoming more and more evident that certain sections of the "old guard" are STILL petrified of change. But there's a group of posters on here, who used to be in favour of everything the club did, under the old ownership, who now go out of their way to find something they can moan about on a daily basis, sometimes even making things up, which when its proved wrong, they just dont comment any further, and move on to the next criticism
I support Burnley football club, not just the team, and if the owners are trying to better the club, they should be supported, yes they'll get things wrong, nobody's perfect, just like the old regime wasn't perfect.
The strange thing is, the people I meet before games, at the game, and times in-between dont seem to hate the club as much as some on here....

Re: Keeping The faith
I enjoyed it but it wasn’t as good as last years and didn’t seem like they had a lot of footage to use.
What worked better last year was the ones behind the scenes focusing on a job at the club, that had players making an appearance. What is also good is when we see tension and behind the scenes footage like at half time at Spurs in the dressing room. It was a bit ‘meh’ to just show a house viewing and a player pondering retirement.
But they are good doing it, just need to pivot onto better topics.

Personally i've got no interest whatsoever in stuff like this, but obviously plenty of people have enjoyed it. Neither is right or wrong, don't see what the issue is?

Re: Keeping The faith
Spot on, and it’s becoming a bit embarrassing from a few on here that attack the club at every opportunity. As you say though, thankfully they are very much in the minority.Row x wrote: ↑Sat Sep 13, 2025 2:29 pmI'm not youngster either, and i get the change, and I've been critical of some of the things brought in by the club, but other things are good, its called having a balanced view

I love all these discreet digs
Re: Keeping The faith
There are a small number of posters on here who invent polarising views just to troll threads and cause friction.
One or two people have said they didn't find it that interesting, is that what we're classing as continuously slagging off the club these days and having an agenda?

Re: Keeping The faith
Personally I like this kind of stuff and seeing some insight into players real lives and personalities.
Last 3 years or so we have seen more inside footage of the players than in the rest of our history put together. That’s a positive from me as I find it interesting and I enjoy seeing the players and managers etc in their environment.
I don’t care if other clubs fans aren’t interested - I wouldn’t be interested in their club either. I’m not that fussed at whether the club is achieving whatever it wanted to from this increased exposure. I just see it on the whole as an enjoyable thing to watch because I love football and love the club so I’d pretty much watch anything connected to them !!
