Today's Football
Arsenal v Forest 12.30
Tough start for Ange, can Chris Wood crack
the Gunners defence?
Stanley v Colchester 12.30
PNE v Boro 12.30
And later, hopefully Watford will get a few against R*vers.

Be interesting to see if Manuel Benson gets into the squad for Swansea yet. Might still be a fair way from match fit.
Fingers crossed he can get back to playing regularly anyway.

Spot the difference between the goal just given for Arsenal after the offside VAR review and the goal not given for Burnley against United? My guess is.... the badge on the shirt.

Why was there no graphics/still photo of the VAR decision for possible offside against Arsenal second goal ?
I just wondered that's all
Any thoughts or ideas ?

From the BBC, re: Ramsey red card.
Will Lankshear's tap-in finish for the U's had already been cancelled out by a gift of an equaliser for Jordan Ayew before Barnsley loanee Ramsey was sent off in the 23rd minutes a reckless challenge on Filip Krastev.

Jamie Cumming has to make a very good save from Aaron Ramsey on his Leicester debut.
Ramsey then launches himself into a tackle on Filip Krastev and 23 minutes in a Foxes shirt is all we'll see from him today - red card!
Ben Toner had no choice - awful challenge from the Burnley loanee.
It was Aaron Ramsey's first league start since February 2024 and that frustration has boiled over.

I'd want a red if that was a tackle on one of ours in 2025, fine attempt to win the ball in 1986

I expect to be disappointed but I am hopeful all our rivals could lose today and give us a free hit tomorrow, playing the champions and can be no further behind.
I include West Ham , Wolves, Brentford, Leeds and Sunderland in that merry gathering.

Cracking header from Woltemade at Newcastle
Re: Today's Football
Not sure it's that bad a tackle from Ramsay. He doesn't exactly go jumping in with 2 feet. Clearly very late in the challenge, but he only wraps his leg around their guy. Not exactly a leg-breaker.

Think he's going to be a very good player for them. Saw him in the U21 Euro's and he looked a class above.

It'll change how Newcastle play, from the 45 I've just seen he's not that rapid - not to say he's slow, but he's not going to run away from many defenders imhoCoolClaret wrote: ↑Sat Sep 13, 2025 3:54 pmThink he's going to be a very good player for them. He's not that type of player like, no - but a big lad and very technical with the ball at his feet, be interested to see how Howe gets him playing with Wissa.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Sat Sep 13, 2025 3:57 pmIt'll change how Newcastle play, from the 45 I've just seen he's not that rapid - not to say he's slow, but he's not going to run away from many defenders imho

But I can't see that as a red in a million years
That's not frustration boiling over
That's not an attempt to injure another player
It's a genuine attempt to win the ball
It's just a bit late

Re: Today's Football
The positive thing about that tackle is Ramsay showed he isn’t afraid of going in hard after his injury. Most recover physically from an ACL but some don’t get the ‘edge’ back in their game.

Re: Today's Football
Whether it's a red card or not, just like Anthony last week, he made a stupid decision.
Why make a tackle like that when there was no need.
If he didn't fly in the ref would never have thought about giving him a red card.
