Nine county championship matches today.
There has been play in one of them so far ( at the Oval ), and two, including Lancashire at Old Trafford, have already been called off for the day.
This is what the championship has become. You are either sat there shivering in April, or watching it rain in September.

Re: Today’s Cricket
Well said. I almost posted something similar last week. The County Championship has now become a sidelined competition with the Summer months given over to The Hundred and other 1 day cups. The County sides should have realised by now that if you haven’t got the points on the board in the earlier rounds of matches that you aren’t going to make them up in the Autumn fixtures. Sadly, it is the Hundred competition that is the golden goose so don’t expect any changes to the format.lakedistrictclaret wrote: ↑Mon Sep 15, 2025 2:51 pmNine county championship matches today.
