Won't they be awarded the win?

Apparently 90 minutes has to be played to constitute a match

Can't award results unless completed.

Anyone remember Port Vale at the turf in our season with Mullen in the champ?

Will it be replayed? Presumably 11 vs 11 if so.

Looks like Fylde's game might be abandoned as well and they were 4-0 up.

Well this is hilarious but it does show how amazing our modern premier league pitch is standing up to this weather.

Weren’t they once supposed to have the best pitch in the Premier League?

Possibly, but it's been nearly 15 years since they were in the PL, and pitches need replacing every 10 years or so I believe...

I think a lot of these smaller clubs like blackburn, preston etc struggle with such heavy downpours

My mate saying they have a bad pitch these days as they're down by the river....I asked if that river has been a recent addition since they had one of the best pitches in the country during Walkers cash throwing days?

They really have fallen a very long way :D

Muppets think that the final 10 mins can be played another day and that Ipswich can only have 10 men.The Venky’s and the fans don’t spoil a pair.

Yes, just like the original fixture in the FA Cup for us against Liverpool in 2005 was nothing to do with a river, is the case for them.

In both instances it's chronic under funding of the playing surface, to correct it properly will cost a small fortune.

In the days before Desso maybe, but it's just a bog standard grass pitch

Having a stand called The Riverside would suggest it's been there for some time. :)

Yes. All cards will stand.
The result would only stand if the reason for the abandonment was due to Ipswich (such as intentionally getting it abandoned.) or possibly if rovers were winning say 5-0. It will go to a football league committee to decide the next steps, but they as rovers were only winning 1-0 and 90 mins were not played, it will be replayed. Precedent has been set many times on this.

They should lose the 3pts and be ordered to relay that pitch before playing at home again.
