Two comments: Cullen a 6 from someone; moans and groans FFS?
Moans and groans everywhere bizarrely - had 6 guys near me in the BL absolutely rinsing Anthony every time he touched the ball. “He’s useless” etc
Thought his goal would shut them up - it didn’t.

Enjoyed that on the whole and it felt like an evenly matched game of football. Full credit goes to Parker for setting the team up so well against a side with so much attacking quality.

Considering that was his debut, Florentino looks a really good signing. Dubravka had a great game, but Walker was absolutely everywhere, a joy to watch.

Dubravka - 9. Outstanding... again
Walker - 9. I'm still coming to terms with him in a Burnley shirt!
Hartman - 9. Gets better every game
Ekdal - 9 I don't really notice him, quietly effective
Esteve - 9. Superstar
Laurent - 8. Odd role, but does it well
Cullen - 9. Cullen innit
Luis - 9. Great debut
Anthony - 8. Sloppy with the ball sometimes, but he just keeps going
Tchaouna - 7. Still growing
Foster - 7. Works hard, but his runs off the ball are poor.

I’ve waited over night on this one to see if my view changed. I can’t fault the lads effort but i didn’t think we were overall particularly great today. Maybe that was down to the tactics and I was groaning (like i did at times last year) at Parkers decisions to look after a point rather than risk going for 3 with his subs.
Dubravka 9
Walker 8
Esteve 8
Hartman 8
Ekdal 7
Laurent 7
Cullen 6 (outnumbered in midfield and it showed first half and late on)
Florentino 6 (see above)
Anthony 6
Tchaouna 6
Foster 6
I thought all the 6s worked tirelessly but i wanted more going forward and i thought they cut us open a few times. Had we lost 2-1 3-2 im not sure we could have tok much complaint.

What were all the moans and groans about??
‘You’re too bloody defensive Parker, we should be beating teams like this’
‘Anthony you’re not good enough’
‘We won’t stay up playing like this’
‘Parker stop telling them to pass backwards all the time’
Just a few of the comments. I go to the game to enjoy it but a few seem hell bent on just moaning.

Dubravka - 9. Outstanding
Walker - 8 short inside passing distribution was Robertsesque, however his cross field diagonals Beckhamesque.
Hartman - 8 Starting to become a more of an attacking threat.
Ekdal - 8 Solid
Esteve - 9 Immense yesterday.
Laurent - 7 Doing ok in an unfamiliar position
Cullen - 7 Does what he does, looked a bit overrun in the first half
Luis - 8 Looks the business this lad, going to be my second favourite premier league Tino.
Anthony 7 gets himself in to some wonderful positions, but final ball/touch needs working on.
Tchaouna - 7 Great free kick, puts a shift in.
Foster - 7. Works hard, keeps making run after run, needs to get in more goal scoring positions.
Good performance, positive in that we didn’t sit in all game and showed that we are a threat.
Determination to get back into the game is a good sign.
Nice ebb and flow to the game, Forest had a good spells as did we. Dubravka and Esteve outstanding. Florentino looks a player.

I could see your point on this if there was 10 games to go and we were behind the pump, but as it stands, picking up points here and there builds confidence. Parker is still refining his system and some players are still bedding in. I feel we are close to having a really competitive team at this level. No need for groans at this stage. The players are giving everything. If we'd have gone for it and lost 2-1 after losing the last 2 undeservedly with last minute goals, the narrative all shifts to gloom.
We are a player light in the forward / creativity areas, but theres nothing much we can do about that now until Jan.

I don’t go looking for it. I think we are lucky to have someone like Parker in charge and think he’s done a great job since coming in.

Tbf has it ever been any other way on the Turf (or any football ground) ??
They’re used to a very useful song sang by fans “Attack, attack, attack”….just in case the players forgot this was an option.
Then there’s the usual informative shouts of “kick it”, “tackle him”, “stop him”, “shoot” and everybody’s favourite “get stuck in”
I wouldn’t say any of this is moaning - the players would be lost and stood their chatting if it weren’t for the advice coming from the stands

Enjoyable game in atrocious conditions in the second half. Very roughly a game of four quarters with Forest on top in 1 and 4 and us on top in 2 and 3. Hugely encouraging. Lets not forget what good players Forest have and how much they have spent.

Another really good performance. Don’t think we needed to set up with a back 5 against teams like forest as, although the midfielders did well, forest had control of it in there by virtue of numbers more than anything else. Second half was miles better with Walker pushing right up but it’s our final ball that is letting us down.
Dubrawka 9 two outstanding saves and a few more that the conditions made more difficult than they might normally be
Walker 9 best player on the pitch by far and a top level game manager to boot. Just a couple of sloppy passes preventing a 10.
Laurent 8 doing really well in unnatural spaces for him
Ekdal 8 solid
Esteve 9 primo
Hartman 9 some strike on the half volley in the first half
Florentino 8 I’ve spent years and years wanting us to sign a player like this. Finally! Less backheels in dangerous areas though please.
Cullen 9 everywhere
Tchauna 6 great free kick and did the running
Anthony 7 should have done better with the early 2nd half chance
Foster 7 fouled constantly by their centre half but he looks better at this level than he did at the one below, just needs to gamble more and stick his toe out
Forest are no great shakes, especially at the moment. We can be more positive/less cautious against their likes as these are the types of games we need to win. We’re doing well though, performance wise it’s been a good start.

Dubravka 9 Outstanding, especially in those conditions. Gives confidence.
Walker 9 Calm, experienced and still an exceptional player at this level.
Ekdal 8 Did everything he needed to do without any fuss.
Esteve 9 Brilliant again.
Hartman 9 What a player. Blocks and tackles in defence, shots and crosses in attack. Despite his work rate he never seems tired at the end either.
Cullen 8 Worked hard.
Laurent 8 Played well in different roles.
Florentino 8 Obvious class.
Tchaouna 8 Adds physicality and strength. So unlucky with the free-kick.
Anthony 8 Better finishing and crossing and he would be a 10 every week.
Foster 8 Brings strength and hard work to a thankless task.
We are so very much better this season because we have a better manager, who adapts to the situation, and we have made some far better buys - physically stronger, hard-working and with obvious class. Hartman and Walker are exceptional plus Dubravka, Ugochukwu, Florentino, Tchaouna added to our squad make a world of difference compared to Kompany's lightweight lot. I'm confident we will stay up but whatever happens 'our' Burnley are back.

Dubravka 10* Thought he was excellent, saves, handling, organisation and distribution.
Walker 9 Has licence the way were set up, our most creative player, if only we had the likes in midfield.
Laurent 8 Looking like a masterstroke from SP.
Ekdal 8 Solid but I hope he's not picking up Haaland this Saturday.
Esteve 9 Brilliant bar the occasion missed pass.
Hartman 8 Wand of a left foot, who will grow into the season.
Tchoauna 7 The tenacity on this lad has really impressed and we might have a dead ball player to hand.
Cullen 8 Josh's normal efficient self.
Tino 8 I'd have given him 10 for the first half but unsurprisingly tired a little in 2nd half
Anthony 7 Can't fault his industry, if only he had a little more composure in the final third he'd be great.
Foster 8 I think Lyle deserves a goal and once it comes he'll be frightening.

Florentino 9 - Lordy
Tchouana 8 - Potential and more
