Travel to Masham
Going to Masham Sheep Fair, Sunday morning. Is Blubberhouses ok now, please? Thinking of going towards Harrogate but turning left at Menwith Hill and going overland. Is this bad/narrow roads, though and would I be better going further on and turning left to Killinghall then up to Ripon? Not been up there for years. Thanks.

Blubberhouses is fine now. Been over a couple of times in last few weeks. The temp traffic lights at the roundabout as you turn right to Killinghall also now gone.

Whilst your suggestion to go left at Menwith Hill may look the shortest route, it’s up and down dale. I’d go via Killinghall turning left at the roundabout you come to after Menwith Hill then Ripon, it might be longer, but it’s more direct.

Thanks folks, presumably I'd go along the Ripon Bypass, then turn back, left at the last roundabout?
Re: Travel to Masham
We go once a week over blubberhouses, then left for Killinghall then to the outskirts of Ripon, it’s a good clear run at the moment. Theres a cracking little cafe in Masham at the far corner just off the square, it was called Johnny Baghdad’s. If it’s a nice day you can sit outside and enjoy what’s going on.

Yes. Then take a right at the clock tower, to pass Ripon Golf Club.basil6345789 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 24, 2025 10:04 pmThanks folks, presumably I'd go along the Ripon Bypass, then turn back, left at the last roundabout?
