Re: Lisbon airport info
As the OP I’m just wondering if the lines of electronic passport machines I mentioned have now been installed and are speeding things up?

Re: Lisbon airport info
The machines were all in situ but there were 10 passport officials in their kiosks just stamping passports as before. Nothing electronic other than the mark one eyeball.Tricky Trevor wrote: ↑Thu Oct 02, 2025 2:55 pmAs the OP I’m just wondering if the lines of electronic passport machines I mentioned have now been installed and are speeding things up?

Re: Lisbon airport info
I came through Lisbon airport yesterday en-route to Manchester. Dropping the rental car off was chaotic. There's only a single, poorly signposted entrance which was blocked and the queue was backed up onto the main highway to the extent that a Police car with blue lights flashing was positioned nearby to stop an accident. Check-in was OK but finding the location to drop off the golf clubs was difficult to say the least. Passport control was literally empty and the electronic gates were in operation for outbound passengers. We were through in a couple of minutes. However the inbound area was absolutely rammed with bodies and I estimate a two hour wait for the poor souls at the back.

Sat on the runway at Porto airport after plane missed its slot . 5 passengers missing due to queue at passport control , no electronic scanners and only 4 on the desks checking . Jet2 staff informed the checkers/police , but they wouldn't give the passengers priority !!
Re: Lisbon airport info
Just looking at FlightRadar now... there's a Ryanair 737 that was due to depart at 16:25 - taxing to the runway right now.expoultryboy wrote: ↑Sun Oct 12, 2025 4:49 pmSat on the runway at Porto airport after plane missed its slot . 5 passengers missing due to queue at passport control , no electronic scanners and only 4 on the desks checking . I'm wondering if there has been any benefits to the UK due to Brexit? I'm not a political animal, but I'm not sure I can think of any?

Re: Lisbon airport info
We flew in from Faro this evening, Ryanair to Newquay, absolutely no problem whatsoever at the Faro end, everything went perfectly. Border control at Nqy however was a joke, 192 passengers and only 2 border control operators. Took over 40mins to clear.
